@Ireth, feel free to write Vincent learning Emma's lesson as you see fit, then you and Ruby can RP freely. (I'll be tied up for the rest of the night, so I don't want you to be held back from RP'ing over a GM post.)

Just wondering, can Angel Fire be charged? I rolled a d20 to try it out in-game, and got a 1. Little bit embarrassing if that's all it can do. XD (And if it isn't chargeable, I'm just glad that wasn't a real battle roll!)

No charge, but we're not in turn-combat, so no worries if you want to roll again*. In combat, if you roll <10, you'll just have to punch or cast a chargeable spell.

Emma lucked out. Four rolls all 10+, so Rolz made my master street fighter look like she's really that good!

*Remember Dragon's Egg II when Hanako tried to headbutt a stool and it took me I think 3 tries? Using Rolz to RP can produce some nice unexpected results.

Oooh, okay. ^^ The rolls (I got a 7 in a re-roll after the 1) were more for an in-character experiment than anything -- I figured singing would be his form of meditation, kinda-sorta, and wondered if he could blend it with the Angel Fire.

Remember that plain, green checkerboard that was the map?

Well here it is now. The enemies are ready, too. You just can't see them yet. I gotta leave some surprises.

Muziko can come along. The rest need to wait until next time. Beatrice may be a goddess, but Her human form is far from omnipotent. That said, she'll tag along on the main quest.

For now, choose your pecking order...

That's okay if you post for now. Beatrice will follow Diana out of the shop, but she won't leave town.

No need to wait. I'd like to get everyone in one place.

I didn't see Diana run ahead until after I refreshed so I'm not sure what the order is but I'm fine with that. It makes sense for melees to attack first as a giant pixy would move rather slow I think.

Just looked at the thread to verify my comment above. I mistakenly thought Jei was closer to the front, so in that case putting Vincent behind them both would place him toward the middle. I still think it would be more opportune to have Vincent there rather than in the back, for more efficient use of his telekinesis if need be.

I agree with Ireth. Jei uses a bow, and is pretty useless at close range, so I think Vincent would be better off in front of her considering he's a mentalist. Aren't some of his skills AoE?

He reminds me of the Psychic class in Perfect World, the mage with support heals, if anyone knows that game.

No problem. This is why I wanted to post the image before bringing enemies onscreen.

I have Vincent next to George the foreman. Does that work?

@Noma, You can sing.

I was thinking about drunk and sugar high effects, and now that you rolled a 1 I need to commit to one idea.

SUGAR HIGH:
+2 movement (you can move 8 squares)
unable to perform feats of stealth

DRUNKENNESS:
+2 strength from adrenaline rush
unable to perform feats of agility

In each case, there is very little harm or benefit. It's more about the role-playing.

Consider the GM post at the barn to be the first turn-based part of this episode.

What you can do now:
* You can move 6 spaces. (If you're curious about how movement is adjusted for not moving in a straight line: it's 4 if all diagonal squares, 5 if some diagonal moves.)
* You can talk.
* And, technically, is you're a magic user you could cast something.

Hmm…

I'm adding a health display. Don't let the lesser hearts fool you - it's to make the display less busy. If anything, it means the Valentine's Day bonus was more significant. (3 hearts to start, 4 with health boost, 2 if a pixie.)

Addy's name is colored because she already rolled a 20. Her name means Awesome Warrior.

EDIT - notes, number of arrows and such to be added

Here's the display with archers' arrows. A bit busy, but I need a means of keeping track. I'll see if it looks better to give archers a second line, but does this basically work, JRF?

Feathers for each arrow from L to R: robin, blue jay, sparrow, raven, chicken
Addy has 30 robins and 3 other kinds. The G is her "grappler" arrow, which can be reused.
