@tbgg, there's no friendly-fire risk for your spell. You can stand right in the plants, as can your allies, and they won't be entangled. The plants target anyone you consider a threat or undesirable.

The only catch is that casting is slow, so you need to wait one more round. But you can cast as often as you want. And you RP awesomely, so be sure to post for RP reasons though you already know the plants will come. You can direct them—focus on just the judge, just the swordsman, just the crossbowmen, spread to all threats—experiment! See what happens! Your character really doesn't know how effective her spells are until she casts. (This includes Charm Animal because it depends what animals are nearby—which you realize is in part determined by your die roll.)

@Reaver, you rolled 13 with a natural 6. So it was THREE bursts of strength—same combo effect as you get for attacks—each busting two ropes. You had just enough strength to escape; otherwise, you'd need another round as the dead man's torch rolls your way!

The "Thread of Holding" is up! You can keep track of all your stuff there. If you all decide to pool your money, I'll display a total somewhere.

GM rolls are hidden. I know a GM who keeps the rolls hidden, and I like that, so I decided to do that even though I think Hamster is a funny GM name for Rolz.

Heroines vs. Horde combat is like this: For the crossbowmen, each dash is one guy. So if your attack does 2 damage, I kill two guys—even if you only fire one arrow!

The judge isn't a wuss. Oil Can Harry could've taken a beating, but the nymph spell trapped him near the flames and he had all that oil, some of which got on him, so… he has 1 HP now and will die next round. You can just let him burn and scream. His pain will end.

Amazons have more health. It comes with the base STR bonus.

About the "KOOK bar" for your health...

KO======OK

OK means you're okay, as in unscathed. When you get hit, you are Not OK. But that's it. You still have all your HP, no matter how hard the enemy hit you.

= is 2hp
- is 1hp

KO means you're down, but you can get up again.
XX is like cartoon dead eyes. I assume you don't want these guys to get back up.

If you get into a bar brawl and intend to use nonlethal attacks, I'll have opponent health end in KO.

9 of 13 places are posted. You'll learn of the other 4 when you reach them, and you won't necessarily access these areas in the order they're listed. Info will be added as you learn more about the world.

I don't know if I'm allowed to request animals, but can I have some birds come? First I want them to poop on the judge, then start pecking at him! And if there are more than, say 3, start doing the same to the crossbowmen.

@tbgg, I have a one-roll-per-turn rule. This keeps players from making several actions so I don't have to be like "you can't do that…"

Well, I guess I'm being like that now because I'm saying you can't roll more than once. But here's the good news. I'm only accepting your first roll, and you don't need a check to take cover. So 8 for animals, and you put a bench between yourself and the crossbowmen.

If you want a specific kind of animals, yeah, you can request that. Your roll of 4 wouldn't have got you much, but since I only accept the 8… it won't be like the Hitchcock movie, but you'll have more than 3.

OK, got it. In the future, one roll per turn, and if I want to request a particular type of animal, I'll include that when Kell starts chanting.

Yeah, you can make the request when when you chant or when you roll. You can even make the request on both turns, in case something happens that makes you want a different animal. As long as you don't request "dinosaur" (or any animal that is very likely not there), you'll get what you want.

Maybe the "A Storm of Gavels" spell makes it apparent now, but my plan for magic is for it to match the caster in some way. With a name like Silvertide, you can probably expect to find a water-based item with your name on it. You might even be able to look at the Bounty Bulletin thread and guess a few places where water-based magic weapons might be found. (More than one place.)

Judge X might annoy you with his high AC and HP, but I want him to live to cast more spells—so I'm not apologizing!

P.S.- Note that casting is slow so the enemy has time to interrupt the spell. Akantha prevented an interruption just now. That crossbow rolled a hit, but the thrown corpse made the shooter miss.

@tbgg, I forgot to address your question in the in-game post.

Customize the communication to your liking. If you want mind-reading animals, that works. If you want your character to speak to the animals, they'll do as she says. Basically, if you give no instruction, they'll be generally decent allies. If you give specific orders, they'll follow as best they can, though within the realm of possibility (though if you roll a double-six you might find a very talented animal).

Also, Charm Animals is a spell best cast once per battle. You can get out there with your staff and fight while having animals back you up, and those animals will stick around during the battle. I'll have you take cover during the GM post, and you can decide to order your animals from there, cast a spell, or rush the crossbowmen while they're reloading. (Reloading is slow—they need a full round to reload! If you fight them right after they fire, those closets to you won't all be able to reload.)

In my last in game post, I referenced Hades. I"m sure that Sidekick already has an amazing rendering for this game but I wanted to show you how I'll picture him until I see Sidekick's version.

@Reaver, keep your action. You saw the kid, and acted accordingly. Perception is to see if you notice something else--which you will. A 5 means you'll get a PM, a 10 would have given more detail.

Hey… Ireth, Reaver? What's with all the high rolls this round? I was supposed to have boss fight music, but the band is still on its way to the game.

Hurry up guys! I think Judge X may be in a checkmate situation!

*looks at the Bounty Bulletin thread*

So, Buck L'Orange posted a bulletin about the "Hades' Angels", who are wanted for the deaths of Judge Xarris and his guards. Buck also has a job for Leto and her allies... who ARE the ones who are killing/will have killed the aforesaid. Is Buck gonna send the girls after themselves for a bounty? o_O

Snuck in a post while changing out of my suit. Now that everyone's in the pit, I get keep things moving. Ireth's awesome perception roll means s PM will come with the next post.

Combat is over. It was a checkmate--no way the enemy could win, so why drag it out. I asked Reaver what his Amazon will do if the Judge can't escape, and I posted accordingly. I embellished with the plants since Kell is still innocent of killing... Sort of. Technically, her nature magic killed more than half of the enemies. But you're victorious--"this is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who."

Anyway, no more turn based stuff, so hang out in the pit. You just killed 15 people in front of over 100 witnesses. They're not rushing into the pit, just chattering and looking. (Leto will catch some important words from the conversation.) Feel free to stay in the pit and talk amongst yourselves, but you can't leave the pit. (Why not? When I post, you won't need to ask that... Unless my description sucks.)
