What is going on in the temple isn't directly visible from the Maiden's Spear. If there's enough commotion you might realize something is going on. This is taking place before watches, which are set to start once people go to bed.

Baldy: "Weren't you on watch when Ankari was threatening the psycho priest?"
Cadell: "Yes. I was watching him."

Pushing or throwing Cadell into the priest is a standard action. You can't attack the priest in the same round. If the action is successful, the priest can try to avoid having Cadell thrown on top of him. If he fails, you'll get to attack while he takes a round trying to extricate himself, but it will technically be in the next round not the same one. If the priest avoids being hit by Cadell then he'll have a standard action to work with.

I don't have my character sheets in front of me. STR is not prime for Ankari or Cadell, right?

I can only speak for my own character, but Cadell has STR as non-prime, as indicated with my roll.

(Also, did I roll that right? +2 for his level, no mod bonus for his 9 STR score?)

Should be for Ankari (STR = ranger class prime), but I think Cadell has DEX/CHA as his primes.

@Ireth, You rolled right. Well, I've been adding level to STR checks since Baldy's first kill, so I'm confident in answering this. Too bad Baldy wasn't there… or maybe not if Ankari did our dirty work for us, ha!

LS is correct about Cadell. Though I could have sworn rangers had DEX as their class attribute. I'll go with the Sidekick's word about that.

Truth to be told Mauve would love to see that priest dead. However, she also wants to sleep, get her spear back (no way she'll leave it behind!), and you know... not be burned at the stake.

I keep forgetting to add my level to these checks. So, my roll should have totaled 13. And, yes, STR is a ranger prime stat.

Hm. If Cadell's next action is to duck out of the way of the fighting and run to tell the others that the cachu has hit the fan, would he need a DEX check to keep from being hit on his way out?

Also, something I found interesting. I dunno if I read it and just forgot, or just never paid enough attention to his character bio, but Ankari is allegedly Chaotic Good. Took me by surprise when I finally reread his bio. XD From the way he's been acting, I would have thought Chaotic Neutral at best, and something Evil at worst.

Neutral Good - These characters have a healthy respect for both law and freedom, typically choosing a road between the two for the benefit of all.
Chaotic Good - These characters view the greatest good as coming through individual freedom and liberty. They place primary importance on individuality over law or social structure.
Chaotic Neutral - These characters value individual freedom and have no qualms over how to obtain it, whether through acts that are good or otherwise.

I think when you play chaotic good, you may lean toward just plain chaotic or just plain good in some situations. You could argue the red text applies here, but Ankari has no reason to think Geralt's a good man as he intends to burn a little girl to death. Baldy wouldn't condone this act because she doesn't see how the priest can be attacked without getting attention and involving others, like Gisla.

I have thoughts about what to do, but I'll keep 'em to myself until I can act in-character and know what she knows.

*pokes the question in her post #3333* I'm not sure if I should roll a check or not, and that's most of what's holding up my post. :/ I might have to edit if Ankari ninjas me anyway, though.

SP said you can act. Worst case, Ankari uses his free attack to hit Cadell, but wouldn't that mean he's unable to hit Geralt?

It'll be interesting if Cadell runs for help. I wonder how many attack turns must pass before help can arrive. (6 seconds per turn)
