Yes, Martha, this festival idea does look good! Addison may or may not run into some lady from the little-known Huntress fashion world, and she may or may not notice that Troia may or may not be wearing one of Addy's designs.

I'm up for RP'ing Addy in a festival in any case.

Sooo, I'm moving apartments this week, shopped for & bought a bunch of furniture last week, had a big snafu transferring utilities because the management company gave us the wrong address for our new apartment, and also my sister is crashing on my couch for 3 weeks because she didn't extend her lease in time.

And last night a bat got into my apartment and I got approx. 3 hours of sleep trying to get it to fly out, barricading myself in the bedroom, and calling bat-catching companies.

I'm sorry, I just wanted to let you guys know why I haven't gotten a post up! Bear with me (and hope I don't have rabies).

Bats! That sounds like no fun, especially if you're worried about rabies! Good luck with the new place (and your health). Hopefully future guests are more like sisters and less like bats.

I don't know about that. I live with my sister and sometimes I'd prefer the bats.

Nah, there isn't really a possibility of rabies, as I stayed way clear of it and wasn't sleeping when it came in or anything. Also the Humane Society person said it seemed healthy and was acting normally. But I can still be paranoid, right???

At least my sister doesn't flap around overhead, and she does the dishes. Luckily we get along really well (we're fraternal twins) but her stuff is in my closet and she wants to talk all the time and it's like high school all over again aaaa

I wrote about four sentences last night but did get a bunch of packing done and sorted out the stupid comcast transfer, so I gotta take what I can get...

I am so sorry, you guys. I got caught up in kind of a guilt spiral about not having anything written for Ysgard, and dug myself deeper… Moving was rough, but I really made some bad habits afterwards. I've been playing videogames nonstop and haven't written anything in three weeks, so my brain feels like it's running on a hamster wheel.

To be honest, this may just be the kind of rp that runs on-for-a-month, off-for-a-few-weeks, but this hiatus has been ridiculous. I will do better. Hope you guys are up to playing again after this break--if not, I totally understand, though.

If you need anything more from this scene, any ideas or conflict-starters, just ask. Farrun might not like it, but of course mischief and trouble is always welcome.

Nothing wrong with that. Phil Overby once came up with a game called Endless Hunt which, ironically, would end by design—the idea being that each season would last a month. I think running a game in seasons/episodes is fine.

I'm working on a comparatively non-magic Addison Lane for my WIP (which really is IP, though I won't have anything to show for quite some time). It's fun to play this druid version of her, so yeah, I'm still in regardless of how long the break is.

I just looked up a Celtic name for that Ainsley character Addy's thinking of—she's not important to Addy's story or anything. Whether Addy actually runs into this person or someone from her fashionista life doesn't matter to me. I have no agenda, and would prefer to go with the flow and react in-character to whatever happens.



PS- Because the game is up and running again today, I updated my Addy Avatar!

Hey, we all hit road blocks or get drawn away by real life. I've spent the last three days helping a friend and playing Dragon Age. I've barely even done any procrastinating on my challenge entry.

Speaking of which I can't post today because I'm locked into the headspace of a complete jerk (thanks to Legendary Sidekick) but I'll catch up as soon I can put some time aside.

Take your time, Thaane! I'm writing another post for Farrun, having him clean up & have a chat with the innkeeper. I've got a small plot in mind for him, but nothing too fixed. May not be able to finish this post before I have to go to bed, but I'll try.

Ahh, I did see the Jerk MC challenge! I've been rattling things around in my head but it is genuinely hard because the characters I come up with aren't usually dickwads. I mean, I know I have plenty of jerk in me but I try to keep her out of my writing--hey, she usually just keeps me from writing!

Got a bit of a post up! I'm musing on happenings that might make this fair more interesting, but for now I'd like to let Gryphos and Tom catch up, if they're still on the horse. Sorry that I'm still being slow...I've had two migraines this weekend, which is less than ideal ??


In bigger news, we've got a new player, AkamaruGames! He'll be coming in with an Ettarlander witch who should add some fun magic times to the party. It's a good scene to join in, so I'm looking forward to seeing how Chrisania meets the party.
