I should have mentioned, Liadan can hear noise from within the opening with her elven ears. Faint, but she can make out high-pitched yipping. It doesn't sound like all is well :)

Much as I'd love to stay up and wait for an update to Act 3 and the matter of Biorn, I should get to bed. Will probably catch any forthcoming posts in the morning.

Its kind of wierd how the dice works,
Della, Branwen with little practice at fighting, miss.
Burnbright, misses but gets the upper hand in the grapple.

The rolls make sense.

Maybe Bran's attack will distract the lizard enough for Della to break free. Bressel is probably at least one or two rounds away. (I think I can only move 1-2 sq and still attack.)

Rod's roll was just bad luck.

SP didn't mention Bran making any sound during the attack, so Bressel doesn't know she attacked. Pretty sure Della didn't remain silent when tackled by a lizard.

Didn't even count that one.

15 attacked the farm.
8 attacked the kids group,
2 were hunting and found the main group,
8 were defacing Dwarven artwork.

I think we might have a group bigger then 30 in the tunnel system.

Nissa's not sure if she saw 8 or 12. She saw 4 leave and 4 re-enter. And of course, we don't know who the boss of the wimpy lizards are. We can safely assume it's a bigger or smarter (magic-using) creature.

You might be counting some of the same lizards twice, though I agree it's likely there are more than 15 bad things (or at least it's wise to assume that). I thought the ~15 who attacked the farm had footprints leading into the cave, though. And the 5 human footprints lead to the cave which smells of decay. (I wonder if, with a light source, those inside would know if the decay is from human bodies.)

Lots of painful assignments in class lately -im in the mood for Batos to start shredding some lizards into mincemeat!

Sorry, Ireth. I completely forgot about Biorn!

And Masama, too. Baldhart can't wait to fight alongside of him. (Though in a way, I hope she does wait. I'd rather not see her go too deep into that underground lair with the party way too far to get involved, whether the battle's easy or difficult. Too easy = cheated other players out of the fun; too difficult = stupid death.)

Ah...Masama. Yeah he needs to do something. Sorry, I was operating on about 3.5 hours of sleep from the night before and was just trying to stay awake long enough to post an update last night. I felt like something wasn't quite right, and the lack of Masama is it. Maybe he spent the last round praying to Asra for guidance :D

We can put Biorn wherever Cadell would prefer to have him. Behind him on Llucheden (or probably deposited next to Liadan before Cadell's attack), or he could be back with the other kids and we'll just have him hiding behind a tree or something.

Well, hiding behind a tree isn't necessarily cowardice.

BIORN: (*zip*) "Get away from the bird girl!" (*charges to save Dalla and Branwen)

Still, I like where you positioned him. If Biorn's outside the enemy lair, that makes Baldhart's next decision much easier.

Masama; I think if someone mentioned the rear party being attacked he might be heading there quickly.
Burnbright is his pupil and Branwen his Godly assignment.

Biorn, great we needed someone with a B name......:confused2:

A good Squire wouldn't be far from his knight or his knights charges/belongings.

which? Bressel's, Mauve's, Aliron's? (named after first attempt to attack.)

Bressel was attacked.
Aliron is trying to end the fight so he can get back to check on Branwen. (Preferably Aliron would have just left, but Ankari made himself known, so if Aliron left it would be abandoning a group member.)
Mauve and company, Saw lizards and assumed they would attack from previous and current history. (lizard like attackers sacked the farm and brought survivors here, where we find lizards.)

Baldhart's in-game knowledge is: dead people, lizard tracks, captives, and the cave smells of decay so she suspects the captives are dead. She also last heard Ankari's plan to draw enemies to her, she she's under the (incorrect) assumption that Ankari wants to kill the lizards.

Nissa's knowledge: she saw the dead bodies herself, watched Anakri and Alin follow lizard tracks and tracks of barefoot captives to the cave, and she got a good, long whiff of the decay smell and knows the cave is extremely cold. She expected everyone to wait outside the cave, and she now sees lizards with ropes and knives.
