Keit, I'm sorry to say, but you need to edit your latest game post. Liadan, Hall and Baldhart are still standing outside the inn, so the conversation and letter-taking cannot take place in Keit's room. ^^;

(i read beforehand that Baldart and the others were in the inn, and then she said that they were in the inn in her post after mine. by going down the stairs i mean leaving keit's room and going into the main room at the front where the other were, but i still added that she went and found them anyways)

I just know that Liadan met Hall outside of the Spear, and Baldhart joined them on her way back there from the smith's, so much of the conversation took place outside the inn. I'm not sure when they actually went into the building though.

g2g now, and i wish i could respond to Halls' reaction, but be that as it may Batos will just snort regardless and keit will hand him the letter. No matter how Hall reacts, Batos will not attack and he will just snort and walk away. (repeated that for good measure) it was all just batos figuring out where Hall would place in the pack hierarchy. Baldart is currently second besides keit. Cadell is third. If Hall reacts by starting at batos in the eye and not showing fear, then he'd be in the same ranking as Cadell. If Hall flips out and shows fear, then Batos would put him beneath Cadell in respect and ranking.

Just saying, this will all add up to something eventually as Steer decided to let me turn batos into a semi-human when keit got strong enough. (and if the transformation goes as i think it will...Baldart will have to pin him she's the only one strong enough to do so i would think. and when he became sane again his face would just be perfect *chuckle*)

Another random reminder: Since some of the plot revolves around it (Aslaug becoming what she is for her mother being burned alive as a witch) it's useful to remember that magic isn't looked upon with kind eyes in this region. So, the newcomer(s?) might find at the least odd all the talk of "using magic" to defend the town.

Unless you're a mage. Then you just found rare people who also dabble with magic and assumed that. Go hug Baldhart and Aldar. :x

Well, Baldhart likes hugs, but what's the occasion? Oh! Fellow magic user? (Tries looking innocent.) What are you talking about? Baldhart doesn't use magic. She simply has the soul of her cousin sharing her body. It's a big body and her cousin doesn't take up much space, so it worked out, and her cousin happened to notice a bit of mana that Baldy wasn't using, and…

Too late, she already mentioned flying and everything. >D

Man... it would take a lot of wood to burn Baldhart!

I have to admit, I did a bit of a double-take when Baldy said "No, you WILL tell him." Like, what, I thought she trusted him! Does he have to swear on his best friend's grave? Thankfully, Baldy reassured me as well as Cadell. XD

Oh, good—it's the effect I was going for. Baldy sees the angle. Cadell ratted her out once. If he does it again, he's consistent (unlike the gnolls who keep changing their story and get caught in a lie). It gives Cadell credibility, and makes them think our group is still divided and weak.

Bear in mind, though, Cadell didn't mention anyone specifically with regards to the trap last time he spoke to the gnolls. And if he comes to them this time with a message specifically from one of the company, what are the gnolls going to think then?

Posted Tyrion...I mean Aliron's speech to the masses.
I figured now would be the last time Aliron would be vocal until he stands defiantely, hopefully triumphantly, against the gnolls.

Aliron could use a good lantern on the roof, to pull the cover off when he wants to be seen.

Why does Aliron want a lantern?
Aliron will do his first battle cry to let the Gnolls see how far my shot went to strike true, their leader.
Strike fear in the hearts and they are more likely to flee, if not right off, then when other deeds are dropped on them, or enough of them fall.
