Blerg. I have no idea what to post. :/ I don't know if Cadell would want to help with the bottles, since he still doesn't approve of the firetrap idea. (Note that he never actually agreed to making a stand; he said IF.) Liadan would want to stay close to him, I'd imagine, but I also have something in mind for her to say to Baldhart -- if I can find the words for it, and if she's intuitive enough to have simply read it from people's actions and reactions rather than their words. Then again, with a WIS of 16, she might be.

WIS of 16 and she's been alive for a lot of years. I say go with that, if it's something you want to do. Once people are done with preparations they want to make for the night, I assume the PCs are going to try to get at least a little sleep as well, and we'll move into morning.

Sounds good. I'll have to post tomorrow, though -- it's time I was in bed, and Liadan's words won't come easy at this time of night. Looking forward to having senseiseth's character join us soon, too. :)

^Precisely!

I even thought "Great, wasted the good roll with WIS, now I'll fail the DEX one and she'll become a witchburger!" but it didn't happen. But we know better than think these nice rolls come at no price...

She'll fail, try and fail again. And fail the runaway check. And fail the corruption check. Then, in the morning she'll cook, and fail, and summon a demon.

Found a really pretty song that kinda made me think of the Eisenbergs. Especially sad when you read the comments on YouTube and find out it's based on a true story. :'(

Excellent share, Ireth. Thank you so much! Good story songs are getting rarer, but this tune shows that they're not dead by any means.

Um, anyone know WTH is on that lady's forehead?

Bressel will be singing before battle:

They come over here and they take all our land
They chop of our heads and they boil them in oil
Our children are leaving and we have no heads
We drink and we sing and we drink and we die

We have no heads, we have no heads

They come over here and they chop off our legs
They cut off our hands and put nails in our eyes
O'Grady is dead and O'Hanrahan's gone
We drink and we die and continue to drink

O'Hanrahan, no O'Hanrahan

They buried O'Neill down in Country Shillhame
The poor children crying a fe dee din de
Hin fle di din fle di din fle de din de
In hey bibble bibble hey bibble bibble hey fle bibble hey

O'Hanrahan, no O'Hanrahan

We drink and we sing and we drink and we sing, hey!
We drink and we drive and we puke and we drink, hey!
We drink and we fight and we bleed and we cry, hey!
We puke and we smoke and we drink and we die, hey!

Question about the map of Arendal -- is the sea meant to be to the south? In that case I think the map may be upside-down. Or maybe maps in the northland have South at the top instead of north? I dunno, help me out here, Steerpike. XD I'm working with senseiseth to figure out which direction his character will approach the town from.

Srilkind also had south up. You could say seaside (S) / woodside (N) / tavern-side (W) / temple-side (E), I suppose?

For some reason, whenever I walk along the waterfront in Ogunquit, ME, in my head north is "left" and south is "right," so if I made a map of where I walk in Maine seaside/east would be "up." I don't know why, but it works for me.

STEALTH EDIT - On the waterfront in Salem, MA, seaside is down in my mind. Why? Again, no idea. But that's Witchburnin'ville, so the map should be upside-down. I guess.

That's true, if Arendal's map had the North at the top the sea should be at the bottom or left at best.

For people who doesn't remember the map:

I'll post an update as soon as I get home. Thought I'd upload something I've been working on, though:

P.s.: LS, I have this messed up sense of direction all the time. Like "this place's north should be there, because it feels right." when it's the south actually.

Yes, South is at the top of the map :)

BTW - I am at a conference. I can follow along with my phone but it is hard to make long posts. Will do that when I get home.

aha! Okay, Ireth i think i can say that keit was born and lost her family around the southern edge of Drimmen delve then! (sorry guys that was an old issue that we ended up talking about, and now i feel as if i am goign to be corrected in some way or other...)

I don't think there's a forest near there, Keit; it's either mountains or plains from what I can tell. Maybe you can try that darker green spot on the west side of the bay?

@Sensei, What does Hall look like? Male or female? Not sure if you want to reveal your character's class or not (though I admit I'm curious—especially if you picked a class not yet played!), but hints on appearance, race, etc. may be helpful.
