It's not really her choice. Let's hope her abnormal DEX saves her ass... right?
What I'm really hoping is that Mauve will be behind shields. Not that shield walls do anything when enemies get really high rolls.

Is she at least in the hallway so if the lizards emerge they'll first see the shield guys, archers and the big woman singing a jaunty tune?

She's still in the hallway, but at the end. The lizards may have more guts than we believe and think it's a good idea to try to take the menacing caster, all they have to do is to step out of the darkness and follow the voice. Even if they don't there is a number of ways things can go wrong; the shield wall is facing the wrong side now, for instance.

Er, let me stop jinxing her. I hope Baldhart takes all the arrows and stuff instead. Wait... *runs away*

So… we're just waiting for others to ready actions?

(I don't care if someone kills the possibly-stunned guy next to Baldy, personally, but I think the definitely-not-stunned lizards in the dark are a bigger concern.)

Yup, we're waiting the other players' actions, I believe.

Oh, I think we got some greater concerns there besides the lizards-in-the-dark... :x

Yeah, waiting for others to act this round. Once 24 hours have elapsed, the thread can be updated at any time (depending on my schedule :) ).

I'm very tempted to post on Sir Matthew's behalf, since Phietadix seems to have gotten a bit lost in recent plot developments (or so his lack of posts suggests), and I don't want his character to miss out on XP. If I did, where would it be most helpful for him to aim an attack?

Feel free to post on his behalf. Just remember, you guys are in the throes of combat so strategizing among the characters should in theory be limited to what they can quickly yell at one another (unlike the downtime prior to the fight) :D

Indeed. Think I should wait for the map, though. I have to go to work soon anyway, won't be back until this evening.

Sonuds good, Ireth. The map is almost done, I just need to be able to sit down and do it. Of course, I got an email from a client at 7 am for something they want yesterday, so that's been my morning so far. I'm looking forward to finding some down time today to finish it, so you guys can see what you're looking at.

So… shouting 'watch the west' was a better mid-battle strategizing than whipping out the colored chalk?

Not that the colored chalk is ever helpful once Baldy starts playing with it.

I like the colored-chalk drawings, and think they're very useful. Probably don't want Baldy to take the time to draw on the ground while a lizard is trying to impale her liver, though :)

Everyone is going to become aware of the island in the very near future...

Gray haired gentleman climbs out of a carriage, a black haired dwarf points at the elf gate and the field of grass it displays and screams "Da plain, bosssss, Da plain"

The gray haired gentleman gives the dwarf a look of annoyance, then forces a smile,
"Welcome, welcome to Lizardsss island, we look forward to ssssserving you...for lunch, for dinner or even a sssnack."
Is this a complex illusion?

My ticket doesn't include island entertainment, no luau for me. I'm allergic to beach cooking, I know I'm being shellfish.
