Hey guys - map is up and text coming soon. Map is a bit hasty, but I spent about 14 hours working today :( I wanted to get something up, though. I'll find a better avatar for Branwen - if you look close that is a girl viewed from the top down!

OK, going to give everyone a chance to act after the attack from the island. You guys overwhelmed the lizards fast, and the ones in the darkness failed their morale check by a wide margin so as you've surmised they're putting some distance between themselves and the group. The approach to the island is clear, though it does seem a bit exposed. It looks like it's at least 400 feet along the narrow path until it it reaches the island.

Ow, crap. And I rolled just badly enough to be worthy a corruption save too. Failed runaway too, but... uff... 21 for corruption. That was close.

Unless you plan having Baldhart jumping on Mauve and inspecting her pockets, she can't get the pebble without talking to her: The possibly jinxed-again mage already retrieved the stone, haha.

Baldy's not stealthy enough to pick Mauve's pockets, and feeling around in the dark for her hand to give her a goodberry made her so self-conscious she couldn't even put her thoughts into words, which is why her self-conscious thoughts weren't posted.

Speaking of goodberries:

5 to Darin
5 to Matthew
1 to Mauve

About the 'darkness beam'… Mauve tested it, but did that actually work?

(Leave pebble inside darkness-concealing pouch, open pouch, shine darkness like flashlight.)

If it works, Baldy would suggest doing that while the party moves so we can watch out footing and see enemy feet when we get close (or if we get close sooner than intended because the enemy moves, for example). If not, Baldy watched Mauve test the darkness beam, so she'd already know whether it works or not.

seriously, this is the idea this elf has of "protecting a child"?!

Y'know, in my defense, I never mentioned Liadan moving forward before she shot the arrow. That was all Steerpike's doing. :) She was perfectly content to stay behind with Branwen, out of the line of fire.

Yeah, I know. You don't need to defend yourself anyway, Mauve is a b—a person who loves to find something to complain about. She's just feeding her pride.

Nice shot, by the way!

The darkness beam didn't work. As soon as the stone is exposed, the magical darkness envelops the entire diameter of the spell's range.

True :) You didn't have a map to look at when you posted your action, so I just tried to move her to the place that seemed to make the most sense. And Branwen tagged along, of course!

Note on healing spells: the level and attribute modifier aren't added to the amount healed. So if a healing spell does 1d8, then you just roll 1d8. It is clear to those who have cast the healing spell found on the parchment that it is also doing something else, but so far you're not quite sure what it is.

18 HP for Baldy, then, plus… does she experience the unknown effect? Make it 23 HP. She divvies up the berries, and includes herself, figuring eating during battle won't be so easy.

Keit, I think 2d4 is the Goodberry roll, 2 MP per attempt. I won't have Baldy eat whatever you decide to turn (13 max, so maybe roll once or twice, but not a third time—that or save all your MP for that other healing spell—your call!), and she'll hold the bag if you still want her to.

Yes, it is 2d4 Goodberries produced per attempt.

Baldhart didn't notice anything different from the healing spell. The casters can tell something else is going on, but whatever it is, it doesn't appear to have been pertinent to Baldhart's condition.
