The one I deleted so fast, you hadn't noticed. (I posted just before you, read SP's post, and deleted all within ~2-3 min.)

It's Baldy asking Alin about the explosives, and since that PM bit has to be done first, I'll just wait until I know things and talk to Liadan instead. Though for now I'm just waiting for a print job so I can leave work. I won't post again until tonight so others can catch up.

Haha, I'll keep this in mind if I ever set my feet in Massachusetts.

If you ever played Rockband 2, there's a shirt you can get for your band mamber that has the word HOLE printed over the shape of Massachusetts. The developers are from my home state. I'm not sure how many Americans would get the reference, much less those from other countries.

R.A. Salvatore would get it. Maybe Stephen King. People from Maine know, since it's the rest of New England that calls us that.

Just looked through the Vacations thread again, and realized nobody has been playing Matthew in Phietadix's stead. Are we just going to ignore him during the battle, or will someone volunteer to cover for him then? Wouldn't want him to miss out on plot or XP!

Well… it would be easier if he asked a specific person, like when Phil asked me to play Nod. (Even then, I ran some RP posts by him before I had Nod speak.) If anyone feels comfortable taking the role of Matthew, go for it. Otherwise… temporary NPC under Steerpike's control?

Yeah, that's true. I have two player-characters on my plate now, I don't really need a third. ^^;

Yeah. When I introduced Nissa, I had Baldy… umm… "derp in a corner," as Nihal put it. It's tricky controlling two characters, so I copped out!

Yes, it can be. XD Also a bit irritating to post little more than two lines for each character at a time. Goodness knows how the next fight will go... XDDD

If she's primarily a healer, it shouldn't get too confusing.

One word of warning if both fight: it really sucks when your better to-hit roll goes to the weaker attacker. That six-legger was shot by Nod for 4 points of damage, but Baldy's to-hit roll was 1 point short of striking with 14 damage!

 

[Ireth]

Well, she can and will fight if need be; she has both a ranged and melee weapon just in case. As a devout of Oercus, her longbow gets a +2 bonus for having a white topaz in the wood. I'm not sure what Cadell's gauntlet will do as far as penalties go; I was thinking maybe a -1 for the stiff grip, rather than the -2 he's been using for his non-dominant hand (though that's of course up to Steerpike). Should make for some fun rolls. ^^

Really? I thought Baldy was totally derping the whole time. Maybe derping only works in the corner of the room, and not next to a hearth.

Well… there's only one thing to do now.

Baldy's List of Accomplishments

Get a kid to wear woad paint.

Get half eaten by a giant beast.

Derp in a corner.

Adopt a monster.

Mortify a dwarf with nudeness.

I hope you're satisfied.

*giggles* Oh man, I wonder what all the characters' lists of accomplishments would look like? XD

I don't know, but Nod has "Ride on the shoulders of a charging barbarian" on his list, so the rest of us should be jealous.

True, true. XDD Though Cadell does have "Earn the trust of a harpy baby while giving her a name", so... ^^

Oh, yeah? Well, Baldy has "Earn the trust of a harpy baby after killing her mother."

And guilt.

And Cadell has "Lose his hand to a warg, then kill the (literal!) son-of-a-b*tch in a single blow, with his non-dominant hand." I think that is his Crowning Moment of Badass for this game. XD

 

[Nihal]

Mauve has "Rope an harpy in mid-flight with your last mana point" now, I think it's quite respectable, almost equal to "Ride on the shoulders of a charging barbarian". Her new boots should have spurs. >3

I can't tell if that's Mauve's best, or the sound blast that deafened party members and that was somehow a positive thing. I may only be partial to the sound blast because it came with an animated sketch.
