I think Mauve's sound blast was biggest, it killed some lizards and protected three people from further Harpy charm.

I believe Ankari, Darin and Aliron are doing our thing while Cadell was gone, otherwise I am two places at the same time.
But since Ankari isn't posting we can say he is following up on what we did while Cadell was gone and Darin is there too.

I'm thinking I might be still damp from a bath if what we are talking about takes place, no one likes an Aliron soaked in flammable liquid.

"I'm burnin, I'm burnin, I'm Burnin for you."
(They played this song in "Let me in" when the man pours acid over his face to keep from being identified, appropriate I think)

I believe Aliron would be included in the "charm a monster baby" accomplishment.

Well... two. Baldy was immune to it, so she just got hurt. (Not complaining. It was awesome and with 25 HP, I wasn't worried. Baldhart's too overprotective to care about taking a little pain in that situation.)

The sound blast was still a "regular thing" used to a second purpose (anyone wants to see it again in a possible next fight? >D), roping an harpy definitely is not, it was an absurd idea that somehow worked. Natural 20 ftw!

I like Magic Hand working as an attack. The way you did it was clever and reasonable. The harpy flew into the rope, and her path was predictable (based on the GM post that she was swooping toward Keit, implying we could predict the harpy's target), so it's not far-fetched. If Mauve made a noose around her, that would've been overboard.

And, yes to your question. Any creative use of magic from Mauve is a good thing. Maybe the die roller is more cooperative when Mauve's creative. Or naked.

Agreed, creativity breeds awesomeness. And rightfully so. ^^

Off to get ready for work now. See you guys tonight!

Just so we're clear, Baldy's a bit nervous that she'll accidentally kill the entire party if she and her torch get too close to the barrel. If you're reading nervousness into her words, you're reading her reaction right. She has no idea how big a blast combustible oil makes, and isn't sure who would know that.

(I'm not worried like my character is, but then... I'm not the one who'll get blown up!)

EDIT - In case anyone asks, the reason Baldhart only asks the ladies if they'll hold the torch is that she THINKS they all use one-handed weapons. All the male characters use both hands (bow or weapon with shield), so she assumes the women won't be any less effective with a torch in one hand, but the men will.

Aliron uses a sword with no shield when he's not shooting, but I think Aliron wants to be very, very, very far away from the torch right now!

Cool!

Will the "Iron Mountain" be on that map?

Yeah. So there are general areas on the map, such as dwarven mountains, areas of human habitation, areas where elves dwell, etc. Once the map is done, I'll probably let everyone locate their own homelands as they see fit (within those broad guidelines). So if you want to say where you think the Iron Mountain should be, you can.

I PM'd you if you want some info on the place… not that I know what you'd do with that info.

If there's a mountain in a human area and near a halfling area, that'll do. It should have a fairly steep peak, a base that's not far from shore—seaside if possible—and it's a rough place with a rough climb. Difficult to invade, and who the hell wants to invade it? Not a "civilized" race… or one with any sense of self-preservation.

EDIT - The above description just means I'll find the closest thing to it. I don't expect you to fit the map to my description, but if an area happens to match part/most/all of the above, I'll know which mountain peak to pick.

Or… if there's only one mountain peak in the human area, it's THAT one.

(Also, van Donk means "from the hills" so I'll have to find a nice hill for Nissa's homeland.)

Cool. About the PM, thing #4 is misleading. The Ullr-worshippers never stopped being native since they weren't conquered.

Also, for classes in Baldy's homeland, her people are obviously barbarians. I'm thinking the natives (Ullr-worshippers) are druids. I think that's the only (playable) class that uses both magic and archery, and they're outdoorsy enough to be into skiing.

Posting time will be limited tomorrow and Saturday, as well as much of next week (surprise surprise). I'm working longer and longer shifts every day. On the upside -- MONEY! On the downside -- tiiiiime. D=

So... if Nissa flies, that's what, 3 or 4 turns to get to the red line? I'm not sure how many feet per turn she gets for movement, and if flight affects that.

(Walking is 20' per turn. Since she's below the average halfling height range, her human half won't help her walk any faster.)

Umm... about my last post with Keit bending water rather than creating it -would it allow her to control more at one time or can she not do that at all? That's why i expressed doubt in the post, so in case she can't do it, at least she said she may not be able to.

I would think Nissa could go faster that 20' per turn, since flying is faster than walking, but that's just my two cents.

Create Water allows creation of an amount of water. It doesn't allow control over existing water. The purpose of the spell, basically, is to provide drinkable water for a group when they're somewhere that doesn't have any :)
