Well, the issue is certainly a serious one, even if I chose to present it with humor. Though Mauve at least should have little problem, as long as she manages to restrain herself. As for slips of the tongue from the rest of the party: maybe she should start schooling them now in the habit of referring to her as something more socially acceptable to the populace of Srilkind. Though I'm not entirely sure what that might be. "Thief," perhaps. Or "murderer." No, wait, I've got it: "arsonist." They seem to be fond of fire.

Naah, strike that one, too. Recent history mitigates against. I'll put some more thought into it.

Concerning the reception which might be expected at Drimmen-delve… remember we have two dwarves' reactions to draw upon. If more think like Bren than like Darin, the group may be in for a less-than-pleasant stay, even if they are more accepting of magic in general (as they most likely are). And I have some difficulty imagining that the harpy would be welcomed anywhere… unless perhaps there's a circus willing to take her. Or unless there are parts of this world radically different from what the GM's shown or implied to date, yet near enough to survive the journey to.

(Even the circus is probably a stretch. I suspect that at a minimum they'd insist on imposing—how shall I put this? "Unacceptable conditions"?—on her.)

Did the group wait for me to return before going to the surface?
Because it seemed that I walked through the door, and everyone else went to the lake room and crossed.

No msg, but I saw Ankari posted. So I assume the msg will start.

No, we're in three different places. Hopefully, the berry-picking won't eat too much time, so we can put the band back together.

I think if you have a daughter her age, it's easy to see why she would be accepted by those who actually see her. My older girls are within a year of Branwen, so I can't imagine looking at a strange creature with a child's face and thinking, "kill it." But Bren is someone Baldy remembers, hence her asking Darin about Drimmen-delve.

I like playing up Baldy's naive foolsihness, but she's also overprotective, so if anything her low wisdom is making the harpy child maybe too high a priority on her list. She'll try to find out as much as she can about any place Branwen may be spotted.

Ok, cause Aliron is kind of stuck. Swim a freezing lake, climb a 100ft wall into the midst of the taint, or sneak through unknown dwarf constructed lizard labyrinth.

Okay—how many berries? I figure Keit can get us ~20 with the spell (assuming she has 8 MP), 32 if she's improbably lucky, so any chance we'd pick 30-40, turn what we can with her current MP, then have others on us in case she wants to make more?

30-40 is doable. The post is up now. I said you took as many as you could, so lets say it is in that range. You had to hunt for many 30 minutes among various bushes to find 30-40 good ones.

How about this many?

^My roll for 30-40 berries… and, wow, almost the minimum roll. But fair, right?

lol. Oh is the number of goodberries determined by a roll of the dice? or am i right to think that it was only eight at the most like it said in the magic thread?

The roll was to see how many berries they collected at the surface, not how many goodberries can be made from them.

I guess 8 is the most you can eat in a day...? I'm not sure what the limit is, really, but our last druid made more than 8 in a day, I THINK. I'm pretty sure she made about 14 before leaving the game.

Anyway, you roll 2d4 to determine how many berries are turned. The cost is 2 mana, and you should be at full mana. Things that went on since you cast First Aid twice passed the two hours you need for mana regeneration. So if you have 8 mana, roll 4 times.

Maybe if there's a limit to how many you can make, Steerpike can disregard the unnecessary/useless rolls? That, or you can check with him on what that limit's about before rolling. If the limit's not on what to make, let's see how many you can turn! (There's a 1/65,536 chance I didn't pick enough.)

EDIT - @Sparkie, not me!

Yes, you can make 2d4 per casting. You can cast the spell as many times as you like, depending on mana. A given person can eat up to 8 of them in a day and get the benefit of them.
