Alright, the thread is up. I call it Around The Fire, but whatever. Feel free to ignore the setting if you choose. I'll be happy as long as there's an attempt at conversation.

I do ask that we all try to remember to keep actual game dialogue in Steerpike's Act threads. The Around The Fire thread is sort of an abstraction, a way to develop our characters together: How does Cadell feel about humans? What's Matthew's favorite musical instrument? How well does Ankari get along with his family? Topics like these can reveal much about our characters to fellow players, even ourselves. Hope you enjoy!

At this moment, the Act One thread has over 1,300 veiws. Is that just us players, or is this game geting a bit of a following?

Is it just me, or is Cadell being ignored a bit? :/ I know I don't post as often as others do, but really...

Speaking for myself, it's clear that Rydh is with Baldhart, and it's possible that Cadell and Matthew are with her, too. And maybe Ankari is as well.

Just jump into the conversation with Rydh and Baldhart and I can at least promise that my character won't ignore yours.



The other way you can get your character some attention—I think—is to enter the tavern.

Oh well. At least it's just a fictional character doing the walking and not me.

Aw, man! I gotta save up for a horse. I get a boon for fighting on horseback (a chick thing—your characters wouldn't understand), but barbarians are poor as monks. I blew more than half my life savings on that huge sword!

There is a bright side though. If we need a couple of guys to charge like cavalry, we got it covered!
