I laughed out loud at this, now I want to see someone trying it!

It is a tempting idea... though I'm not exactly sure what he'd *do* if he reacted out of sheer instinctive terror and/or rage brought on by flashbacks. I don't want him inadvertently hurting anyone. ._.

It's always fun to attack your party members! Erm...

The scene below came instantly to my mind, too bad I couldn't find a better video.

you can't really grab a handful of floating hair
That reminds me… When I lived in Hong Kong, there was a hair treatment commercial — a guy and a girl in a judo class; girl flips guy; guy runs fingers through girl's loose, flowing hair with an expression of awe and delight on his face before his back hits the mat.

Loved that ad. It's the only one that actually made sense of all the martial-artsy commercials over there. There were others that involved wire-fu and "Eastern" sword-magic and I had no idea what they were advertising.

About Ravana's new guy… we want him in the tunnel with us!

(I think he made the character I anticipated… I asked about him since I need to draw him, and I'm either right or close!)

Hey! That's a good idea for Cadell, his elven hair must be irresistible!

EDIT: Somehow, I just visited 9gag and the first post was this: 9GAG - Men Using Women's SHAMPOO
I think it's a message!

@Phil, a bard can use any bow. If Sir Matthew lets you use his light crossbow, its damage is much higher than that of Nod's hand crossbow (1-8 damage vs. 1-4 damage), and I'm confident that there's no penalty for using one instead of the other.

Well, "bow" usually is used to mean "self bows," and exclude crossbows. But that's the GM's call, and it seems kinda silly bards wouldn't be able to use crossbows anyway.

What he probably could not do is cock a light (let alone a heavy) crossbow while riding someone's shoulders. Certainly not without Baldhart's active assistance. (And even the visual on that is pretty blamed funny.…)

You want the punch line? The other one would have been the character you anticipated, too.…   :D

Well, Steerpike hasn't said anything about it yet, so we assumed me shooting from Baldhart's back was fine. I think we get some kind of penalty or something. For me, just the visual of us going into battle that way is a great one. However, if Steerpike wants us to be more realistic, then that's up to him.

I think the penalty is -2 to hit if Baldhart is fighting. If she's just a steed behind shields while you shoot, no penalty (other than the one for being behind the shield wall). So basically, if Baldhart walks toward an enemy but can't attack, you can shoot without a penalty.

I think Baldhart's only penalty is hair-loss.

And, yes, this is totally worth it for the visual!

Yeah, I think the visual is pretty funny and people are having fun with it, so I tried not to make the penalty too stiff. If you really wanted to get realistic about it, the penalties would probably be steeper, but that's not as much fun.

Okay. I'm gonna move away from the fire so I don't distract you, but I'm still here. I'm always with you. I haven't left your side since you were sixteen. You didn't know about me then, but I've always been at your side.

You mean... every minute? That's kind of embarrassing!

My new char in DE2, would expect Ishtar to be watching during the "embarassing parts", probably prefers it.

Ishtar is the goddess of... oh! Yeah, probably!

I gotta look up the deities in Ravana's game. I wasn't sure if the list was complete or not, but since you know which deity your character has I guess the list might be complete.

I went with the Lady Protector, also known as She Who Mauls!

Ishtar is... well, not Hanako's type. She may be nervous around your character. Actually, her fighting style (unarmed) and skills (silent movement / climb) make her cat-like, as if Ravana's game was made for her. I mean... other than that part about not wanting to include the monk class.

Post coming in a bit. Meant to do it when I got in to work, and it has been one thing after another today.

Oh, the talk in the chat reminded me of something:

LIZARD'S STAFF!

Who got it in the end? Rydh, Hiljikki, 3...2...1... Fight!

And how many gems/how much gold each character received from the chests?

Well we might want to see who dies below before dividing it up. Even if no one dies(and that's if we're very lucky), we still won't need it until we get back.

Oh, I have no problem with Nod shooting from Baldhart's shoulders. If she's standing still, I wouldn't penalize him at all… though of course that would probably be a rare situation.

What I was talking about was the ability of a halfling—or anyone—to cock a crossbow while riding on someone's shoulders. His hand crossbow he can, well… cock by hand. Pretty much the definition. No prob. Giving him one of the heavier ones… think about it. If you know how crossbows work, at least.

(Hint: stirrup.)

Well, if it just got left lying around, Hiljikki would certainly have picked it up. Otherwise, she'd make no claim on it. So if anyone else wanted it, he/she it gets it.

Confidence! Have some more…

…well, heck, if we're gonna speculate, Baldy gave Burnbright her 10% as "inheritance."
