I'm off to work, but I began editing the heroes thread to reflect character updates. I still need to update Fenella, Mariya and Reaver (skills update), but I did update the money.

Skills will be expensive! Food is "cheap as free"… by which I mean it's more about RP than depleting your cash so you can't afford skills.

Speaking of character updates, does Vincent get the Song of Sacrifice in his spell list now?

I know Riff says she likes steak, but I'm not sure if faeries eat meat lol. Also, I know they clearly gave what's available, but since this is an RPG i'm sorta feeling them out if you don't mind (har-har) Let me know if I'm being too goofy, I'll tone it done :D

Your fairy hangs out with a huntress, so nothing wrong with her eating meat from large animals.

Tone it down? No… don't do that. Your characters are fun. I won't ask you to make them boring.

Hmm... so do I have to roll for each new song Vincent sings? I imagine he might be in there for a few songs' worth yet before Diana and Beatrice get there.

A Couple Notes...

1) Class changes - I want players to have more freedom so, for example, playing an amazon doesn't force you into a melee character if you see an amazon as they are in Diablo II. I also want pixies to be one size, so the valkyrie is going to be a subclass of Shield Maiden (which is how I originally had it—with player death as the only means of getting the wings).

The game needed to be played before I could be sure about letting players pick stats. I didn't want to have stat choices where she are useful and some are not. Now that we've had a full episode, I'm comfortable with the classes as they are.

2) I didn't expect we'd have a giant fairy, but… we do! As a result, some of you may not be sure how to jump in. The RP time is really meant as a time to get new skills (see Dan V), weapons (see Buck) or clothing (see Lara). There is also a garden to the south (but Esmerelda the herbalist is busy with Riff), and Reaver is at a dive somewhere to the north.

The NPCs who can actually help your characters will put business ahead of curiosity.

3) I won't change which battles will happen in this episode, but because a giant fairy will draw attention, the order of the battles I had in mind will likely change. Seems like a waste to shrink a giant without giving her some action first…

I just need to get some artwork ready first. Clean art. Don't let the fifty-foot-tall naked fairy worry you.

Ooh, a herbalist! *makes note of that for Diana's sake* I should have Vincent look into Buck's shop after brunch. Borrowing Shan Mai's katana is fun and all, but it'd be nice to give him a weapon of his own.

Speaking of Vincent, I'm assuming he can't read Emma's thoughts, her being another mentalist. (Also because you didn't include any thoughts in the last post involving her.) Is that right?

Sure he can. When in doubt, post as an action whose mind you want to read. If you focus on many people at once, you might miss something. If you focus on one person, you're more likely to succeed. (This matters more in turn-based situations, and mind-reading doesn't impede movement, spell-casting, etc.—though if in combat it makes sense to focus on the enemy you're targeting.)

I'll take your above post to be the desire to attempt mind-reading, so let me see if I can whip up a PM in ten minutes or less.

I just wanted to make sure that was the case. I'm not sure he'd find it polite to try to poke into another mentalist's mind if he thought she would mask things on purpose. Reading minds is certainly the easiest way to get new information, but not really the most polite. Vincent is a gentleman, after all.

Oh… then let's say a look in her eye caused images to flash. Vincent didn't mean to pry, but he still gets the knowledge anyway.

I think that's a good bit more than Vincent ever wanted to know. XD All he was wondering in the first place is "What's just happened to the training-place, whatever that is?"

Oh nos, I probably should've asked first before zipping through the countryside lol. I didn't know you were going to throw stuff at her XD

And sorry if I'm flinging needless stuff out there, like plot bunnies or something  I tend to do that because I mull through my characters thoughts and background (yeah, maybe a bit too much). I really don't want to push anything, but I like testing NPCs and feeling them out bc I don't know who is part of the main plot or where it's taking me. <--neurotic person, that I am.

Gosh, I'm having fun though. I love Flat Earth! *drools
