The sword is too far to hit him, but striking the demoness' shield is a good thing. Vincent swinging the katana telepathically is the only way to strike the demoness' shield without getting hurt.

If anyone wants to beat on the captain while PJ's holding him, go ahead. On the GM turn, I'll have his sleeper hold and roll of 12 kick in.

Oh… right. Anyone who rolled needs to wait until next turn, but bright side: I counted Diana's 4 as a hit since PJ was able to reach the demon captain faster than Diana could move and swing (though you posted her first).
Actually, PJ and Vincent ended up significantly reducing the defense of the remaining enemies. The captain still has a lot of HP, but those who haven't rolled this turn each have at least a 50% chance of finishing off the demoness. I know how the reflexions, both good and evil, will play out the rest of this battle. It's a matter of who lives to carry out his/her part of the plan… and that pesky die roll. You can never count on the damn dice and their unpredictable randomness.

Since sidekicks get a move when they roll 20, I figured Muziko should be no exception. A 20 on the third charge… I suppose that should do something, though that's way too rare for me to make a rule of that.
Anyway, her 20 may benefit the party with a way to chance getting yourselves out of a tough spot later on. Vincent, Mariya and Fenella can learn Muziko's new spell-song.

Hi, who is this Muziko? Isn't she a demon? Is it ok if Fenella kills her, after all she won't want this evil thing on her head?

Muziko is technically a demon, but she's not evil, and she wants to serve the Voice. I can't speak for everyone, but Vincent would be very disappointed if Fenella harmed Muziko after others have sworn to protect her. Diana, Vincent and Reaver, specifically.

You can attack her if you really want to… just bear in mind that the bubble spell she cast is doing the following:
1 - it's protecting every member of that party from damage (including Muziko, so your first attack won't harm her),
2 - it's carrying you over the ocean (meaning if she wanted to, she could drop you into the sea),
3 - it's healing your wounds (meaning you're at full health because of Muziko).
It's safe to role-play now. You may talk to each other, Muziko, or the mermaid swimming below.
PS- You could ask about Muziko's deal in-game/in-character on the Side One thread.

Rules when dealign with gods:
rule #1: If a god asks if you are a god, you say yes! (Ghostbusters)
Rule #2: Never tell a woman or reveal to others, her age, even more so a goddess.
I guess demons don't have to follow the rules though.

Actually, it'll be a lot less exciting. Episode One is called "Holy Ship!" but Episode Two is "The Boring Part."Glad to have you with us! I'm sure the future will be no less exciting.
I'm not kidding that I named Episode One in my head, though I never got around to posting the name. I have a better name for Episode Two in mind. But let's get our Huntress in-game before I throw any more enemies at you.

I'm off to work, but I began editing the heroes thread to reflect character updates. I still need to update Fenella, Mariya and Reaver (skills update), but I did update the money.
Skills will be expensive! Food is "cheap as free"… by which I mean it's more about RP than depleting your cash so you can't afford skills.
EDIT - The Ep.1 thread is unlocked, if anyone wanted to respond to Beatrice or Muziko. If no one responds, I'll assume you got enough info to have a rough idea of where the story is taking you. I plan to lock the Ep.1 thread soon (Monday?), and hope to have some fresh artwork ready for early-to-mid-March.

No problem posting twice, JRF. We're not in turn-based combat yet, so multiple posts are fine. We're just setting the scene before I throw dangerous enemies at you. Oh… and you can help me experiment with the food-based bonuses. Yay!

There seem to be some misconceptions in Vincent's bit of your post. Vincent doesn't play any instruments but the piano (certainly not the violin), and I doubt there's a piano sitting outside the steakhouse. He's only using his voice.
