Yay, for once I feel like I know what I'm doing, writing a fight scene! Maybe it's because we're writing one-on-one fighting, not battles or melees, which is where I really suck as a writer. Fencing is coming in handy. :D

Addy-Troia is going at a much different pace compared to the other sparring pairs, but Tom and I had plans for them that goes beyond blow-by-blow practicing. I'll have Addy speak to Farrun in a bit. Technically, she'd talk to Farrun after several minutes of practice. (I'm really thinking 10-20 minutes. Just the swinging the sword 100 times, not rushing through it, would require 3-5 minutes.)

Nimue and I are doing Farrun and Rikhard's sparring via PMs. Not sure how that'll mesh if anyone else wants to address our characters in the interim.

Yeah, I think after they've done a bout of sparring they'll go into more basic attack and blocking drills, so that'd be a good time for Addy to talk to Farrun.

Half of that post is Ireth's doing, I just stitched it together. In retrospect, that took me longer than it would have to just post back and forth, so I'll keep that in mind ^^;;

I was wondering when Addy's Cærnish temper would flare. She's been in enough hunting parties to know to keep it in check with allies. The jerk at the inn: not an ally.

Einan basically has my temper, and is reacting accordingly to the situation. (i.e., seeing red.)

I'm not going to be on for a good part of today--I'm attempting a "screen detox" for this morning and some of the afternoon. I'll probably be back on this evening.

Addison's cooling down, or letting herself, due to Farrun's implied order. I think she may have exerted herself a bit, hence her asking for Loke's arm.

I wonder what the innkeeper's reaction will be at knowing Loke Bloodaxe is standing right n front of him... XD

Well, I'm heading off for the night. I have my mother's birthday tomorrow (technically later today) so I don't know when I'll get the chance to write.

If you were Addison, and you just became wise to the magic in you, wouldn't you play around with your power? I know I would.

She will sleep well. (Waking up might not be easy.)

Sorry about the lack of postage! It's been a busy couple of days, meeting up with old friends in town.

Out of curiosity, quick poll here--are we interested in having a dust-up with the locals over elf-loving and so on? I can't imagine most would want to tangle with them now that it's known that Loke Bloodaxe and the dragonrider are there, but there could always be some louts who didn't get the message. I hadn't planned on it, but then again, I'd thought they'd end up sleeping in the field!

*coffee sprays out nose* Dancing rats!

Hey, I'm up for a good old-fashioned fight. (I think Einan is as well.)

Could be interesting, but I can't say whether Rikhard will join in on the fighting. Unless someone attacks him directly, of course. He's more the running-and-hiding type, as his demeaning nickname "Rabbit" shows; it's become his first instinct in most situations. Even standing up to the innkeeper like he did took a lot of nerve; I doubt he would've done it if Addy hadn't stood up first. I'm hoping his character development throughout the quest will make him bolder... We'll see. ^^
