I'm not sure what the runes on Troia's sword say yet, either. Probably "This sword wrought by so-and-so, for other so-and-so", which is the general inscription on many Viking swords. Or maybe its name, since swords were such important objects in Viking culture that they were often given names.

I was thinking of giving mine a full history, but then realized that it's a short sword--a secondary weapon, for most combat. As Balin would say, "Well...it's more of a letter-opener." Still, it needs a name for someone to translate later on. Hmmmm...

I'm turning to my old friend Rinkworks for a sword name. Let's see what it'll give me. Or if that doesn't work, I'll look up a list of Viking sword names--most of the weapons in their sagas were named, as well as a ton in real life, so that'll probably turn up quite a bit of material.
