I like to imagine that whenever Farrun stops speaking for a while it's because he's turned around to continue training his orchestra of preforming mice musicians but I admittedly have no proof of this.
+5 rep points to whoever narrates this action. (5 rep points and a formal apology letter from The Legendary Sidekick if doing this gets you kicked out of the game.)

He is deep, deep in thought about what concerto to perform with his orchestra of trained mice musicians but honestly he just picks the music, Thoros is the real conductor #creditdue

Here's what I drew in the car a few minutes ago.

Tiny Addison is to show how she compares in stature to the breel, though he's likely not three-eyed in the Ysgard version of Addy's backstory.

Birds are the result of me overthinking beast-speak potential. "Names" are of fictional characters whose names have similarities to bird names; they may or may not guide the personality or function of each bird. Bishop is from Aliens, Harold Finch is from Person of Interest (PoI), and Brienne the Blue needs no introduction. What the goldfinch would do is semi-obvious to anyone who watches PoI.

PS- I realize the cloak's clasp is in a choke-you-to-death place. A goof on my part, but I scanned it anyway.

@Tom, this occurred to me long after I posted… since you have the "country bumpkin" characters, if you wanted your characters to give riding lessons in the long run, Addison would be pretty agreeable to that. What she'd likely continue to do, in that case, is simply make sure Rikhard isn't in danger when traveling, keeping his horse calm and such until Rikhard can handle riding without intervention.

(Likely, Addison's at the point where she now realizes every kill, every animal she's ridden… her magic would explain her success in these things at such an early age.)

I'm always impressed by what people can do with those dollmakers!

PS I've cleaned out my inbox if anyone was trying to pm me...

Actually, if we're going for a realistic medieval fantasy world, the country bumpkins wouldn't be familiar with riding, since it was mainly a privilege of the rich in the medieval world. However, since they live a mountain community, they'd probably use horses as transportation instead of wagons/going on foot, so I guess it would make sense.

Happens a lot. Leave your post. I'll cut and paste.

PS - Image searches are a fun way to pick a horse. I'd have gone for reddish-brown + white if I hadn't searched "horse" on Google or Yahoo or whatever I used.

Heh. Rikhard's horse is going to be reddish brown with a white stripe and socks. ^^ Not sure if I want it to be a mare or a gelding. Both would be a lot easier to handle than a stallion.

Okay, I swore I'd have a map up today, so here it is. Kind of a temporary map, or at least I hope to have one that looks a bit better later! At least, put the names in fonts to spare you my handwriting. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Oh, yeah… a gelding would work. But I suppose Addison wouldn't have thought of that. She only knows how beasts function in the wild. She'll probably pity the horse when the stable boy explains why he won't get frisky with Addy's mare and forgive Mt. Freckle for going against her "no boys" request.

EDIT - Ninka'd by a map. Cool!

Ahhhhh...I love having an excuse to image-search horses. I went with an Irish draft for Einan, and a Rocky Mountain Horse for Troia. Sort of realized too late that I gender-coordinated horses and riders, but that's okay.

See, this is why I hate sleep. You end up missing everything.

Incidentally, I'll be mounting Loke on an Icelandic, as is proper for Viking such as himself. Although it will be hard to get past the mental image of an armoured warrior tolting onto the battlefield.

An Icelandic just occurred to me, but I figured our characters who didn't have horses would have to make do with the Queen's gentle-bred stock. Maybe once they get into harsher country, the royal horses could be sent back, and local mountain ponies purchased if they're near a town. It would make sense.

Hey, this is a pretty small thing, but Thaane, it's not great rp etiquette to say that all of the horses are poorly suited to travel and pampered when everyone else's characters are choosing horses from that lot. Why wouldn't the Queensguard horses be suited to rough terrain in a country that's pretty rugged and mountainous? These aren't show horses, they have to patrol the land surrounding the city too, and travel away from the city, presumably. I'd imagine most horses in Ysgard would be bred tough.

It's not a big deal, since we can assume this is from Loke's POV and not unbiased, but in the future be careful about assigning negative qualities to other characters' stuff.
