Darin may have long since passed on, but seeing him talked about in-game is almost heartwarming. Brings back memories, and makes the whole game seem a little more alive. Good stuff.

PM'd SP, but so the rest of players know, Baldy and Nissa are hiding their concern and praying to the same goddess at the same time (individually, but for the same reason).

Did I roll the Norse equivalent of a Christmas miracle?

Either way, Merry Christmas, DE gang (including Sparkie)!

Any of you who saw Star Wars see the preview for Warcraft? It's got orcs with a big pet wolf, and humans and orcs are working together (and not humans and orcs think that's a good idea). I just thought it was a funny coincidence, like when I saw Frozen and Elsa's kingdom was called Arendelle (right when DE's setting became Arendal).

I saw that last night. Looks really awesome. :D And Star Wars was amazing too.

I need to sue Disney and Blizzard for copyright infringement!

Hey guys, I've been put on a case that is on appeal and the appeal brief is due today so I haven't done much else for the last number of days. I'll get an update posted as soon as I'm done with this filing.

*sits nervously in a corner, praying Liadan's good CHA check will pay off*

I dunno if one out of two hammers will satisfy the dwarves, but it's worth a try, right?

@SP,

I don't know if Nissa's statement about Brynhild sending valkyries to "fight and die and fight some more and die and come back some more" works for you. I figure, if there's an afterlife and valkyries can get bodies, then this happens on Kickass Day.

I assume it would be the same resurrection rules that govern Nissa's current body. I'll edit-delete if it's not appropriate for Nissa to speak of this, though I figure she's talking about something that'll happen looooong after this game takes place. (Shortly after if us players fail!)

Sorry for the delay again. First of the year always seems bad. Anyway, we're closing a transaction today that I've been working on for seven months, and the last week leading up to this has been crazy. If I get home early enough, I'll post tonight. Otherwise, first thing in the morning.

Also, we have a new player interested - tbgg :)

Hey all, it's your soon-to-be newest member here. :) I went ahead and purchased the C&C handbook, and if nothing else, the spell details there are very useful. My character Calinniel (Cali for short) is an half elven Illusionist favoring her human lineage. I've read the whole adventure starting back with Act I, so I know what you guys have been up to! It's nice to meet you all.

I'm waiting on Steerpike to answer a few questions for me, but in the meantime, I'm still trying to figure out what my 3rd prime attribute should be. I had to take INT (obviously) and I chose CON as my second due to the low number of HP Illusionists get, but I'm waffling between WIS, CHA, and DEX as the third. I read that illusionists are supposed to be good at getting into the minds of people so they can choose good illusions. To me, that suggests WIS. But then I read other stuff about them being able to influence others to do things, and that suggested CHA. Then finally, she's pretty weak (-1), so I was thinking having DEX as her third prime might at least give her a chance of being able to evade attacks, given that she can't wear armor or carry a shield. (It would also help with things like climbing and river crossing, LOL) I probably lean a little more strongly toward WIS or CHA, but I was wondering if any of you out there have played Illusionists before or seen them played and could give me your take on which would be the most useful?

Thanks all!

I just checked the "Races" thread, and it doesn't say half-elves get a third Prime attribute. You'll have to take that up with Steerpike. Unless he's already given his go-ahead -- then I say just roll a d6 if you really can't pick. 1 and 2 = WIS, 3 and 4 = CHA, 5 and 6 = DEX? Something like that. ^^
