Sounds good. That should be sufficient to throw one into the other. Baldy seems to find spectacular ways to kills things :)

Well, that siege engine inspired this stuff since battle #1.

Of course, for all the awesome things I did with charges, this will be Baldy's first charge actually done right. I didn't realize she could move double the normal movement for charges. Now it makes more sense to give up 4 AC for +2 hit. I didn't think the AC loss was a smart gamble, but it seemed like a good barbarian style and the STR checks giving charges a special effect made it more fun, so I charged every chance I could get. That my charges seldom miss keeps me gambling.

PS- I see Bressel's making good use of Baldy's old sword!

The way diagonals work generally is that every other diagonal counts at 2 squares. So if you move across 3 diagonals in a row you've moved twenty feet. A crude estimation, but that's how the d20 game system handles it.
Three squares diagonally would be just over 21'2", so the crude estimation is accurate enough. If it's still working out that 10 diagonal squares counts as 70 feet, the fudged math is working surprisingly well at long distances! 10 diagonal squares is actually just over 70'8".

Okay i give up on drawing Keitsumah, but for now i have a funny one of Batos when he's in "don't touch dis" mode.

The tilt of his head killed me... :(

Bwaaah! Not sure what to do now. Baldy tells Cadell to follow her, but Steer says he's still on watch duty. And we still have to finish the exchange with him and Biron, too. :/ Advice?

On the upside, I now have a replacement laptop (actually an old one of my sister's, but it has Skype and Google Chrome, so I'm not complaining. Even if it is a tad on the slow side.), so my updates will be much more regular from now on. :D

I just had Cadell guarding because I wasn't sure when you'd be able to post and didn't want to decide for Cadell. Go ahead and act as you wish. We can work Biorn's position out.

@Ireth, the +2 and +2 is right, only how you got to that number is wrong. It's not level; it's base to hit. Cadell is level 2 in two CHA classes, so his base-to-hit is 2. (+1 each lv.2 class)

For HD purposes (and checks, I think… or at least that's how my checks have been since I went dual), Cadell's level 3.

By the way, you are still doing the bard thing, right? It's interesting Cadell's going back to his knight routes getting a squire. Of course, Baldhart the monk ("nun") won't forget her place as a barbarian. It's fun trying to combine both classes, RP-wise. Cadell's mix of music and horseback riding and teaching a boy the code of honor is far elegant than Baldhart's class combo, which is basically beating the insides out of her enemies with her bare hands. (But she also attained inner peace when she became a monk. So there's that.)

Yes, Cadell is still going to go forward with his bard class. Gotta wonder how Biorn will react to Cadell singing mid-battle, if such is the case. :D

Paul McCartney is a knight.

Seriously, though, I think those classes are a good combination, especially the way you play Cadell. He's elegant.

Now about Biorn, where is he? With Cadell or the kids?

I think Biorn would most likely be with Cadell on the horse to start out with, since Cadell would want to keep the kid close to make sure he's safe. But if the kids are split off from the fighters, Cadell would probably insist Biorn stay with them for safety's sake. It's likely up to Steer, since after all Biorn is NPC.

Bressel is hot in the fight.
I am not really worried about Bressel dying, more worried about the children being hurt.

Did seriously consider Baldharts fighting style, when the lizard jumped at me.

The barbarian Primeval Instinct skill is better than the monk's grapple bonus, so Bressel would be a decent wrestler even without monk skills. It's the unarmed damage progression that makes the real difference for Baldy. d3 damage is the norm, while a monk starts with d4 and progresses to d6 at level 2.

Of course, the two-handed sword hurts more than Baldhart's fist. I might chance some combo attacks, at least against enemies with high HP... or a mob of wussies*. Speaking of, does the dual attack penalty eventually decrease? Alin and Baldy have used dual attacks, so I imagine we started the process. (I mean started, as in we're earning our way there. I don't expect results to come quickly.)

*I had a hard time convincing my iPad that Baldy wanted to practice combos on wussies, not Aussies.

Okay, I've read back on what I missed, and I just want to confirm that this is correct.

We split into two groups. One went to investigate a cave wherein the lizardmen were excavating some sort of statue. Meanwhile, Bressel, Burnbright, Branwen (a lot of Bs), Dalla, and myself (Roderick), situated near the destroyed farm, have been ambushed by a group of lizardmen. As we hold them off, the group at the cave has learned of the attack and they are currently moving to assist us.

That's right, PlotHolio. You guys are on the other side of the farm from them, so except for Nissa, who is not far away, it is doubtful that Bressel and Roderick will be able to rely on any aid arriving in time.

I want to see what Rod can do with that bastard sword!

(You're the first player to carry a d10 weapon.)

What Alin heard…

BALDHART" "Fight me, you little shits!"

MAUVE: "Go check the children!"

BATOS: (tugs Alin's sleeve then runs back outside)

I doubt he'd have heard Bressel, but he definitely heard enough to believe the children are in danger. Baldy and Cadell hit their targets, so he might've heard that sickening, wet impact from combat as well.

Did I hear that the wreckless ranger's mind is on Razing Arizona? (my home state, lets just say Officier and a Gentleman's TI instructor fit me)
"Where you from boy?"
"Tucson, Arizona sir"
"Ain't but two things come from Arizona..."

Aliron exagerated the quick telling of the story, "more outside" is only two, but he didn't stop to count, after realizing the kids were in trouble.
