Ah… so the good news is the gnolls don't see Cadell, Ankari and Liadan at the same time. That's three less dead characters.

"No there's three less dead people in world tonight, and your goin to be fine. Out of all the gnolls in the field, I can't believe your fine. In this group where everything was wrong, something finally went right, now theres three less dead people in the world...tonight." From ye olde famous Bards that are Ayr Supplie.

@Nihal, I'd say more like an 80,000 pound dragon in a crystal store. It was a good roll, but not the natural 20 you needed for the 24 points.

@SP, out of curiosity, would that be the tie-breaker? I mean if Liadan rolls 24 and Mauve rolls 24, but Mauve's is a natural 20? Or would it be: tie, roll again?

It's the pressure! She doesn't want to be taunted any more.

Rollz is off at the moment here, by the way. :|

I assume Ankari has Baldhart's letter in his hand, correct? Or has he hidden it on his person? I'm just looking for things Cadell could notice about him that hint at Baldhart having sent him, or something of the sort.

That wouldn't be ranger-ly. He would need his hands free in case of a threat. It's hard to shoot an arrow while gripping a letter. :D

Ah, true enough. But I thought Ankari wielded an axe, not arrows? Or does he have both? Also, is the letter fully hidden in a pouch or something, or simply tucked in a pocket, maybe half-visible? I don't want to blindly take too many liberties here.

Following the examples of movies portraying such things, it would be tucked away in his jerkin, or in his backpack. And yes, Ankari has both axe and bow.

Maybe Baldhart pinned it to his tunic?

Who else wants to seek out a huge pack of gnolls on their own?
Cadell went, then Ankari, then Liadan, then Mauve.

Almost half our group has went to see the gnolls.

Did I see in Cadell's words, a hint of a tracking device?

Gisla and Hrolfr both know, so she didn't give them new information (unless they really thought Ankari cast that).

If she talks of pursuing Mauve for use of magic, Baldhart has an answer to that.

Nah, it's more about alerting them that Mauve and Ankari not only didn't flee to somewhere far away but are still actively interfering in the current affairs.

She's trying to do the right thing… and I'm curious as to how it'll work out for her (Gisla's reaction). The thing for Baldy is she encountered three people questioning her honesty while she feels almost everyone is deceptive to her, at least when it comes to withholding information, if not lying. The result is Baldhart going out of her way to make sure she's completely honest to those she trusts most. Sadly, Gisla has a higher place on Baldy's Trust List than almost everyone in the party.

Gisla's reaction to the "confession" will either seal it or change it.

Liadan didn't go to seek the gnolls; she went to seek Cadell, and protect him from Ankari if need be. Thankfully, things between those two are going far better than I ever expected, so we'll have to see how things play out.

And no, that wasn't meant to imply any sort of tracking device, just dogged persistence (pun completely intended) on the part of those who seek her.

GISLA: "Your party is responsible for more deaths in this town than the gnolls. So far, at least."

BALDY: "And I swear to my Goddess that I will keep it that way."

NISSA: Baldy! Do you realize what that oath means? If the gnolls kill people in Arendal, you need to kill just as many people.

BALDY: Aw, nuts.

Is anyone else highly amused by the fact that the side thread has pretty much become the main thread? XD
