Ireth:

If he's going to pursue two classes at the same time, there are rules we can use for that, though they may require some modification. Leveling will be slower so that the PC stays balanced with the others. If he switches over to Bard, I'd say he begins as a level one Bard but keeps his current HP and the Knight abilities he already knows, though he won't gain news ones. The Knight abilities that are level-dependent will work at his current level and not increase as he gains Bard levels, but his Bard abilities will progress as normal. Does that make sense?

@Ankari,
Did Ankari have letters to Dalla and did he give them to Baldhart? (She asked when he seemed to know about Dalla. I know the Act III thread gains several pages quickly, so it's hard to keep up!)

I'm under the impression we'll have to run away from this town, I don't know why~~
Hahaha.

@SP

By any chance did Burnbright leave the stuff Mauve failed miserably to inspect with her? After this nice break she'll try again.

I think the meeting with Gisla's wrapping up, but I'm at least far enough into the conversation that we can get the party together on the main thread. Part of Gisla's response to Nissa will come up at the meeting, and that part of the conversation is done.

Yes it does. I'm not sure when we'll get the chance for Cadell to discuss this in-depth with Baldhart, though, between all the kerfuffle around Branwen, and anything else that might pop up while we're in Arendal (like those goblins, wargs and gnolls, for instance!). Should I just keep playing him as I have been post-exile until they get that chance to talk?

Hey guys - had family come in from out of town this weekend. Still involved with that, and I have to work a little this evening as well. May be looking at pretty late tonight or early in the morning for an update.

Ireth - yes, just keep playing Cadell as he is until a definitive decision is made about class change or dual class, etc. :)

@Ireth, I edited as if Liadan is there. I'm assuming anyone who's interested in discussing our next move will be there, but if you want Liadan waiting for Cadell elsewhere, I'll edit again.

Yeah, that's why I kept the meeting in PM-play. It allowed my part of the game to go on, but other players could have started the meeting before it was done and I'd've had Baldhart in there as if after Nissa time.

...and no one did. =P

It's okay to her to be there, I just don't want to open precedent to situations when momentarily there are only X characters at a place, it is what it is expected in this situation—differently from when everyone is together from the start and just moved to another place—, and "pop!", another one appears there right at your side, maybe was there the whole time.

In some situations it's only a bad practice that makes the story harder to follow, in others the presence of the character could change the whole story because a character would react differently, (e.g. if Mauve is plotting with Baldhart and suddenly Aldar is there).

My guests got on the road this morning. At work now, and I'm going to find time before long to update the thread and PMs.

We've done thing out of order time-wise when necessary, for the sake of keeping things moving, but as a general rule I'd like to keep things as linear as possible and if we can move back toward the linearity we had at the start of the game that would probably be best in terms of having everyone know what is going on, and cutting down on confusion. I admit there have been times where I wasn't clear on who was where, and when, though as GM it is my job to make sure that doesn't happen and not anyone else's.

I think it works great for things like shopping, or if a side trek of some kind comes up with certain characters, but to the extent possible when we're dealing with things related to the main story line I'd like to keep them as linear as we can. Some deviation will be necessary, but knowing 'when' something is happening, and who else is there or not there in any given scene is important for your character RP and also for me to make sure I have things straight in my own head :)

What watches do you want to keep overnight at the inn? Gisla doesn't think they're necessary in her inn, but she'll defer to the desires of the party. She intends to sleep right next to the door, so on the off chance any villager comes to the door after closing she'll be right there.

I think we've established that Baldy and Liadan will take second watch, at the very least. I'm not sure if Cadell will be back in time for first watch; kinda depends on what Ankari does. XD Cadell's not about to leave him alone until he's sure there won't be any trouble with him. Other than that, and Aliron's remark about him and Mauve taking last watch, I have no clue.

Thanks. The other question I should have asked - where will you be watching from? Will people be outside during their watch, in the inn, in their rooms but awake, etc :)

Nihal

Valar Lord
Mauve will go out midnight to get her spear. I don't know about the others, but during her watch she intends to be inside, near the windows—decreasing the chances of being seen and raise suspicions—going out for a walk only from time to time. By "walk" I mean also going to check the ocean from the edge of the cliff.

I envision Liadan and Baldy at one of the inn's windows, myself (inside, specifically). Though LS may see differently. I'm open to change if need be.
