For that particular spell, you don't have to roll. The amount of food and/or water you purify is based on level. It's like 1 cubic foot of food or water per level, which is actually quite a bit, particularly when cast at level 4. The spell will purify or reverse spoilage from the food, but it won't prevent it from occurring again. So if you have rotten berries, the spell will fix them so that they're not rotten anymore, but they'll start rotting again if not used (though you could purify them again as well).

I say jump in if you want to. SP has so much to respond to, so part of his post has to take place before our conversations went on. For example, I imagine Burnbright will be very emotional since Baldy gave news of Father Harald's death.

I had Baldy invite her and NPCs near her to Bressel's table so it makes sense if Baldy replies to her, even if the timing might seem off. But even so, her response is immediate, and if Baldy needs to respond to her, who knows how it should fit in the timeline, but it's play by post so conversations might have that occasional quirk.

When I had Baldy in the back room, I stayed out of players' conversations because no one could possibly be in the same room as Baldhart… and it wouldn't make sense for Mauve to return to us until after her conversation with Masala is done. But in your case, Cadell and Gisla are standing maybe ten feet from Baldy, Bressel, and Alin, so their conversation is fair game (I think).

If Mauve joins you before the evening while Aliron is still around you should worry! Well, it's unlikely she would return to them in this incarnation, with Masala around...

...nah, she likes children.

Before Baldhart's tale is complete, Burnbright's eyes brim with tears. She takes the symbol of Tyr gingerly, folding her fingers over it. Then she blinks away her tears and looks Burnbright in the face.

Knowing it's a small mistake didn't keep me from laughing at the creepiness from the scene!
