lol, yeah that's one thing i need to learn just yet. My characters get in my head and control my writing, so I need ot learn to think before i type.

Still, the picture of Batos doing that is pretty epic. But if it didn't work out it didn't. *shrugs*

I'll miss some, for I'm going out for lunch and might take some hours to come back. Well, the same thing from the other day... 3G, post badly typed on phone and this kind of stuff. xD

Well, I suppose she did deafen herself to get rid of the harpy's song, so maybe it's justified that she doesn't hear him. XDDD

Cadell already mentioned the lizard meat. Did no one hear him? :/
I was ninja'd--had to stop for a bit while typing.

I think if you take Baldy's words as offering to COOK the meat that Cadell and Alin already mentioned, it still works, which is why I didn't edit it.

I'll catch the main thread up around lunch.

As for Batos - just think of a ceiling in your house. It's probably around 8 feet high. The ledge on the cavern wall is almost four times that height. Visualize that in your mind. There's just no way a wolf is going to be able to vault himself up to it, even if it possessed the talent to vault itself with a staff. There are two problems:

1) it is probably physically impossible to begin with, so no matter what the die roll it is just something that can't be accomplished at this point; and

2) the amount of thought, preparation, and execution required is too far in excess of what a wolf possesses, even a smarter than average wolf.

When you want to try something unusual, post the attempt, indicate what you are trying to do as precisely as possible, and then make the roll. I'll post the outcome when I update the thread. Or, I suppose you can post descriptions as conditional (if the roll was a success, then I do X). I usually treat statements after the roll as desired effects if the roll was successful, and that can work too so long as it doesn't get too confusing with a bunch of posts describing things that don't actually end up happening.

In some cases, like with to hit rolls where you already know what you need to roll, it makes sense for the player to post the outcome, so that's no big deal.

And by the way, did anyone consider how the harpies reproduced in the first place?
Since this one has an elven ear(I assume two), then I would say they fornicate then eat the father. I guess their harpy momma, didn't teach them not to play with their food.

Wolf leap: I was thinking it was too high a vault, but couldn't find the height.

Well, Rysh does have that spiky gauntlet... if they find a way to keep it secure on Cadell's stump, and just curl the fingers manually so it can grasp the rope (and probably get them secured in place as well), Cadell might find a way to climb. Just slide the stump-arm up or down along the rope while climbing, while the other hand works normally. As long as the gauntlet doesn't let go.

I suspect a certain NPC in the group would be pretty handy working with something like that (no pun intended).

For the record, I don't think the CON check will do anything for damage, and I doubt the kid can use a stun effect or anything that would need a CON check. Mostly, I'm showing that Baldy's ready for the kid to lash out so she doesn't topple over in surprise and fall off the cliff. That she has enough HP to survive isn't lost on me, but I do like having that HP for the next battle.

Also, PM to GM...

If someone (e.g. Cadell) were to move the corpses, where would be the best spot to keep them out of the little girl's sight?

Ooh! Outside the stone door! (One hour later, hundreds of trogs charge in singing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. The Nissa RP happens in Valhalla instead of the cage.)

Um... or under the bones. Underwater works if you can keep the corpses weighed down. I think the girl saw us kill the adults, but I still agree that hiding the bodies can't hurt.

Okay. I'll do that. And then probably have Cadell react in some fashion to Rydh and Mauve, though whom he'll side with I have no idea. ^^;

I'd provide a reality-based answer (over on the rules questions thread, most likely), if anyone actually cared about it. Which past experience suggests unlikely. It's already been ruled on anyway, so it would only be worth the trouble if someone wanted to use it as a basis for future actions.

[Cliff [sic] Notes version: the record for a human pole vault is just over twenty feet. And there are more than "two" problems to consider here.]

Back at home! Fixed my bad pasting of my rolls, and since Rydh reacted, let push my bad rolls after... if she still climbs anything.
