Be careful to not jump too ahead in time or the people left behind will lose the opportunity to interact in these RPs.

I second that. I greatly prefer that you not post anything more for the next day, until we wrap up the previous night.

I'm not sure what to do with Steerpike's bit about Cadell and Darin... Cadell's already at the temple. :/

You could give a short answer, refraining from entering in a new full dialogue. Cadell had good reasons to not discuss it right now, like watching the corridor, being weary and hurt. He could decide to leave this for later, when he's recovered, out of the darkness and with a clear mind.

I'll get another post in this evening, but resting is a good idea. Darin isn't suggesting that you go exploring further right now, just that the underground temple might be of interest.

You can always flashback until Steerpike moves us forward. That's what I did so Baldhart wouldn't be sitting in a room while I was waiting for a response from Burnbright.

I don't mean to mess up any RP'ing by jumping ahead, but when the GM lets us do something that increases our HP we'll all feel very silly if none of us did it.

Full rest = HP up by 1 + Level + CON mod. (So if Mauve has +1 CON, she should be at 5 HP after eating the two berries.)

And Aliron, the lucky bastard, gets max HP up!

Yeah, but now in the morning everyone should be here, and I think they were still waiting answers about the lizard witch.

Yes, I've got my HP back, yeaaaah! By the way, uhm, I might stick with rolz.org for a while. The unseen failed me anyway...

Unseen was killing me. Thankfully, I rolled Unseen during the non-combat part (just before Mauve ntered the game). I was failing multiple feat-of-strength rolls, and Baldhart only has a 20% chance of rolling below a 13. I also got a lot of natural 1s on test rolls when setting up macros. I was so happy to see Rolz back!

Oh, but Steerpike, keep using Unseen. For bad guys. Maybe you can have good guys use Rolz so we can tell which rolls are friendly at a glance.

The Rydh and Mauve moment is funny stuff!

I was a little traumatized by Rolz after I earned my first corruption point. Truth to be told, my random testing rolls using the unseen were awesome, my checks weren't so bad either. You could say that only the spells go wary.

Rydh and Mauve funny? Wait for it...

Wait. Should I add my level to any check? My INT check was actually 16+2, then. Ops.

I think we'll get the HP even if we don't jump ahead. It is messing my RP'ing up that you skipped forward. Matthew had planned to study Asluag's journal throughout the night, an would possibily know something that Bladhart didn't, if he did he would find the currant pause a good time to say it. But as you moved to training before I could even ask for the journal, (as Ankari has it) I don't actually know anything new, so Matthew can't say to Baldhart what he should already know.

Sorry if this is a confusing way of putting it.

Yeah. It would be fine if the party remained split for a good time, but their return is imminent and they're starting to lose some possibilities. Who knows if the queen says something bombastic and they return screaming like little children? =P

Until Steerpike GM's us into action, I'd say flashbacks are fair game. I shouldn't be able to force you forward in time. Likewise, if my character's done for the night and Steerpike says "rest," I don't want to be prevented from resting and RP'ing things that I can't do without resting first.

Why not PM Ankari and ask if he'd give Matthew the book, then post your night of studying? (Of course, Sir Matthew can't share that info until Steerpike's back, and if he wants to tell Baldy, she was in a hurry to sleep and face her personal Freddy Kreugers. Other than getting the journal, what you intend is mostly post-rest stuff.)

Birds flipping, bees stinging… Seeds of Romance planted like a dagger in the back!

Well... those seeds look much more like seeds of old, plain murder.

Not sure if Mauve could discover what kind of book the lizard carried, so I'll monopolize it for a while. *grin*

A metaphorical knife. It only hurts feelings and kills expectations. Poor Rydh. I love how he faked trying to read lizard script to impress Mauve!

I meant a very real dagger, like the one hanging from Mauve's belt. :3
I'm not sure about the impress part. He's just curious and thinks he knows more than he really does, hahaha.

Hm, besides the book I'm also waiting to see if Burnbright will look for her after some answers. Mauve will do some chilling in the second floor now instead of killing anyone, reflecting about how she's a horrible sorceress and how she should fix it. Again. Poor thing.

I have her next actions lined up but I'll hold them for now. (I want to discover if these lizards also carry spellbooks, hahaha!)

Well, you know how men are. *scoff* If you don't, ask Ireth. I love Cadell's unspoken response to getting a hug. I'm seeing a pattern. The male interpretation of any female action seems to be, "she likes me."

That's pretty accurate. Now that I'm married, I can laugh at what I once was. (Unless I think about it too… oh, God! I was pathetic!)
