Oh, I'm not giving up on him yet... but my new possible character is begging to be played whether he lives or not.

Kinda how I'm feeling about Hiljikki at the moment. I now have not one but two possibilities lined up to replace her if necessary. Good news for me is that none of them have the first thing to do with one another, so I don't have that urge to see them working together. How either of the replacements would work with the rest of the party.…

(Actually, either one would work fine. As in "work and play well with others" work. Which might tell you something about their personalities—that they'd actually fit in, functionally, in the midst of dysfunction.… :p )

*nods* I was looking at my potential character's bio, and I realized she'd get along really well with Baldhart -- they're rather alike. She doesn't much care for elves, though. Which is a lot of the reason why I want to play her alongside Cadell. XD

Hey cats, I'm going to be offline from late tonight until late tomorrow night (going to meet my daughter for spring break and then bring her back with me). I'm going to try to update the thread tonight before I go to bed, if everyone has a post in by then. Otherwise, I'll be late tomorrow night before I can do anything with it.

Aye, captain!

About creating new backup characters... I refuse! I know it's a good idea, for Mauve probably will die first, but I still wish to take her story a little further - even if it's only a little. Make her meaningful, you know?

Oh, I wasn't creating mine as "backups"… I just created them. Or, rather, recreated, since both are old characters from games gone by. Which is how I already know how they'd interact with the party: I already know them, as people.

(I did dream up an awesome death scene for Hiljikki, but it's unlikely ever to be needed. First, because the events that would have led to it may never happen now. Second, because it isn't likely she'll be given the option of dying under the correct circumstances. That's okay: I don't feel a need to kill her, and I can always use the concept for something else.)

I know the feeling. My backup character is actually one of my favorite RP and novel characters, just with a different name. Her backstory is nigh identical to how I RP her, just with the names changed.

Oh, I know this feeling too. Mauve is a repurposed character. Once she was a good cleric - my first tabletop character - , then an evil warlock, now she's this failed caster. My friends have the bad habit of not finishing their campaigns.

I think I would create a fresh character in case of death. Maybe linked to Mauve, maybe not. Probably not. The bad luck might be contagious.

New map up. Cadell and Nod are actually right next to each other. Consider each one square closer to the other than shown on the map!

Ooooh, the halfling is doing his musical number, awesome! xD

I hope Burnbright wore her armor again, that was the reason for Mauve walk around in the state she was.

Rawr, I just noticed a typo in my last post. "Burmbright" in the last paragraph should be "Burnbright", with an n. If one of our friendly mods would edit that, I'd be grateful. Please and thanks!

And Nod's words echo thoughout the next two posts. Nice turn-around, guys! I think the queen's the only one who would possibly live for another turn. I wonder if Burnbright will finish her off!
