On an unrelated note, Steerpike, did you happen to read the PM I sent you on the first of May? If you have time, I'd like to discuss some stuff with you. ^^

Yes. I have some thoughts, Ireth. I'll send you a PM after I update the game thread today. Need to get something for work done prior to lunch, and then I'll get the game moving :)

lol, i cant' wait to see what happens to the harpy. If they killed it i really hope Batos ends up with the finishing blow (im a little savage)
Aren't we all? I think it is a requirement when playing.

Personally, I hope to spray Harpy guts all over Ankari with my backstab, double satisfaction. (evil grin)
I would humble myself to accept said guts, if Ankari can do it first.

I believe there might be some supranos birds in the loft that need to be harvested onst we dismiss of the alto birds.

lol, I sent Batos to Cadell to guard them, and had keit back off to tend to her wounds. I know that First Aid heals but it uses life energy. how does that work?

Oh wow… I guess I'm not the only one who guessed baby harpies! (Couldn't read this until now, but I saw the GM post and went there first. Then I goofed up the roll!)

I kind of wondered, either eggs or young.
I used it to taunt, and betting I will get a vicious bite from it.
Shoot straight Ankari! Hoping Ankari kills before she gets the chance.

No, it doesn't.

First Aid: When the caster lays hands upon a living creature, this minor healing spell magically bandages any wound on the creature's body. It thus any further loss of hit points from bleeding. It prevents infection, but cures no damage. CT 1, R touch, SR yes (h), Comp V, S.

You can use it, but game-wise your injury not grave enough to make you lose more hit points. This skill would be extremely useful, for example, in previous rounds when Darin was injured and bleeding all his life out. If Rydh had no way to heal him at this moment she could use First Aid, prolonging the dwarf's life for long enough he could be properly cared by Rydh later.

No-risk casting! (No WIS check so see if you succeeded… ummm, right?)

Correct on that count.

Nihal is also correct that it doesn't cure HP damage. It may be useful under the circumstances anyway, to prevent infection… depending on just how nasty the GM feels like being about such things. Since the filth of the area has been mentioned repeatedly, it's probably a good idea—for everyone who has taken wounds—though casting it can also wait until combat is finished, as a couple rounds won't matter as far as infection is concerned.

((+2 for charge, -2 arbitrary penalty for using both hands at once. Seemed more appropriate than making two rolls, since he's only doing one thing. Suppose I should've added +1 for flank attack, too, so make that a 19. Or less, if it seems the penalty ought to be steeper.))
@Ravana,
Don't get me wrong—I WANT Algy to inflict 14 damage, but that hit roll seems like a convenient work-around for the two-weapon penalty. It's -3 and -6 for the respective hits, and having to roll the d20 twice decreases the odds of both attacks hitting. If we can just make the penalty -2 and roll once, we should all carry two weapons and always swing both at once.

@Nihal,
I think you can both charge as long as there's room.

See prior GM post: Baldy, Matthew, Batos and Keit all rushed the big harpy. Batos ran under Baldy's legs (T[SUB]~[/SUB]T), but Keit didn't have room and was forced to stop her attack. So I guess my point is, based on the prior GM post, Steerpike will say Algy stops as opposed to Mauve getting clobbered if Algy can't find a way around her. (At least I think he'll do that.)

^I wouldn't like to see Mauve being smashed, haha.

But anyway, I agree that the -2 penalty is too low. I would take two weapons and go on swinging them at the same time if it worked that way, and god help us to not encounter enemies who do the same!

I was going to state that when I roll something nice Ankari misses, but then I noticed rolz is offline again.

*sigh* My pretty 20 is gone! D:

Even as I taunt the banshee birdy, my devious mind wonders,
is there a market for live harpy babies?
What a falconeer, that could train a carrion crooner?

Pet harpy?
Zoo harpy?
dungeon protection?
