Yeah, they were ready for elves, dwarves, halflings and humans. They live in fear of the lizard you guys killed earlier and were not at all prepared for the sight of Mauve.

Will those who ran be back to encounter the next group, or are they waiting to ambush them down the hall? (Dun dun dun.)

I hope Mauve caught the bleeding one.

I know, I know it was extremely stupid of her to run after them, but seeing that one was injured she decided to give a try, who knows if his wound slowed him down. If she catches him it'll be less one to face later, and striking more fear on the ones running away isn't bad. They're already running anyway. D:

What was stupider was to have Nod shoot at it. Sorry!

Uh… we do have enough berries in case that hits Baldy or Mauve. I was hoping not to waste 'em, so let's see how Steerpike's d12 handles that really bad, hard-hitting shot!

@Steerpike, on that last turn, I think Nod hit for 6 damage.

Um… I'm all for canceling his current turn as well and calling it even, ha, ha! But yeah, I didn't know if Nod hit one of the fleeing lizards or if he and Alin killed one or what.

"How far is that room with the table. Let's go back and use it to cross this blasted lake."

Which was the thought Algernon had hit on—rather too late—when combat started. We could have all made it at once. Oh, well. Hindsight, and all that. :p

Doesn't need to support everyone—just those who can't fit in the boat. Though that still would have been a lot of people. On the other hand, if it had been thought of at the right time, the table could have been modified to make it more subterranean-lakeworthy.

Is Cadell really acting like a coward here, in anyone else's opinion, or is it just Ankari's anger talking? ._. I hadn't meant for him to come off as cowardly at all; it's just that he knows the table probably won't hold everyone, they don't have any oars, and ... well, basically what he said in his post before Ankari walked off. And it really doesn't help that Cadell can't swim.

Well, alright then. ^^ But unfortunately, now I have no idea what Cadell is going to do. On the one hand, following suit with Rydh would be suicide, since he can't swim; but on the other, he's still rather leery about that table. :/ And staying behind forever would be not a good thing.

Well with Rydh swimming and Ankari making a table into a raft, it'll be slow and clumsy, but maybe the whole party can make it in one trip, arriving just in time...

...to see Mauve naked!

(Except Rydh because swimming takes too long.)

^Yaaaaaaaaaay!

@Ireth
Actually, I thought the same thing. I don't know if it's because I'm taking the tables here at home as example: One is light and maybe it would float, but I doubt it would hold an adult men, let alone two knights in armor, a ranger, a cleric and a dwarf. The other, built from good, solid wood, would just sink, with or without cargo. It just sounded odd to me.

Maybe if it was salt water they would float, but I don't think it's the case. Anyway, it's up to Steerpike to decide.

If it depended on me I would share the kill XP with them. The people on the other shore aren't fighting, but they are even attempting to join the fight, technically they're involved in it.

Awe, a baby sea monster springing forth to kill lizards, maybe mommy is right behind?

I'm not sure the table would have supported everyone's weight, as Cadell just pointed out.
Maybe use it as a storage raft, and a kick board for the swimmers? (all belongings on the table and the people propel it along swimming)

Aliron on the other hand, isn't being to brave, but he hasn't faced many good wounds in his life, and just saw 5 arrows come towards him nearly at once, with two hitting him. He did hit one with good damage, even facing all the arrows.
He is out of his element; can't dodge or sneak, so all that is left is to hide.

I think extra XP should be given to the one person that made all the lizards soil themselves at the same time, the gilled wizard.
