After the ridiculous str roll I'm considering those windows again... How wide are they; do they have any kind of glass? Are they closed?

Oh, and from this window how far from Ankari and the blacksmith now?

Yeah, speaking of which, has anybody seen Aldar lately?

Did anyone wake him?
Wait wasn't he chasing Mauve least time we heard?

What is it with that obnoxious witch mauve. I have half a mind to have words with her, Always acting so superior, Shooting me dirty looks for no reason. We shall see what happens to her
I then continue to finish my meal, Pondering over the things that have happened so far
He was eating last we heard.

Ankari is right on the other side of the window. The windows are closed. The glass is nothing special. Arendal is not a wealthy town.

If someone doesn't snatch Ankari out through the window, or he doesn't get hammered to death, I'm thinking Cadell will just gallop across the room, hoist him up into the saddle and ride like the wind to get the fool ranger out of there. XD

You're not going to be able to maneuver a horse in there very easily. A couple of long tables, and chairs all over the place. It's not a large temple like the one in Srilkind was. I should make a map of it, but I don't have time tonight and it may not be necessary by tomorrow. We'll see :)

Hm. Well, maybe he can at least try, and if any/all DEX checks succeed, who knows?

How would I know if a DEX check succeeds, anyway? Is that a prime attribute for the horse, not just the rider? It's not really Cadell's dexterity that counts here, IMO, at least not for everything. Llucheden is the important one.

Interesting. Do I have to write up a stat list with bonuses/penalties and stuff, or is it assumed they're average in everything?

They don't have stats per se. They add their level (or more accurately, Hit Dice) to the roll. In this case, that is a +2 to any attribute check.

As far as Aldar, things went pretty quickly in the day since I last checked.

I am calling it a night.
"Good night (all), Sleep well, probably have to kill you in the morning."

G'night, Sev. I shouldn't stay up too much later myself. Hopefully nobody else has died by the time we're back to post.

We're basically in combat/round order, so I want to make sure everyone has a chance to post before I update.

I'm not so sure that was a good idea, Nihal... you may have made them even MORE inclined to see Ankari's head on a platter. ^^;

If the catch him.

Depending on our best liars skills that might work. It's not only about getting away now (I doubt the villagers will be willing to approach the darkness), but getting his name clean so he can set his feet on another villages in the future.

With the knowledge she currently possesses it's the best she can do to solve this and explain the darkness.

The question is, is anyone willing to lie for him, or do they all think he's a no-good traitor who deserves to have his head caved in by Arn's hammer?

Mauve will try, but she's an awful liar.

I don't know about the others, only that they might be placing Mauve in danger if they don't play along... I believe that if Baldhart doesn't protect Mauve she would be almost breaking an oath.

Mauve: *pulls the puppets' strings and cackles*
