Unless anyone objects, I'll time-skip to the ballet. We can assume that, between Piggie and Daphne, you'd have a place to stay, fairies and/or messenger birds to coordinate a meeting place, and some downtime since absolutely nothing bad is going to happen in chapter 7, what with 7 being a lucky number.

Sounds like a good plan to me!

(...does that mean chapter 13, if there is one, will be extra unlucky?)

My bad—

Io was the half-cow on Bob Oracle's show, and Jessibelle Haggar was a cloven-hoofed harpy. Let's just say she was seen on the Hearthvision so Kell's words make sense, and I'll correct my goof-up so the daughter has bird parts. (Though I guess she's still half-cow, or a third or quarter cow.)

Not sure if I'll use it as a monster card, but here's Daphne shooting targets. The idea here is that not all monsters are evil, though I suppose a GM could go either way on this one since she's harpy-like.

As a sidekick, she'd get Huntress stats. I have plans for how to give stats to monsters so monsters level easily. That's what I'm testing when I have you in combat.

Here's my source of inspiration for the mayor (Mike/Mink Haggar), his daughter (Jessica/Jessibelle), and the areas on the map. AND… every word that Clyde, Dail and the note said is in the red text.

Does Kell still have her Charm Animal spell, or did that go away? I'm wondering if she could use that to summon a bloodhound or similar creature once they get closer to where they think Jessibelle is.

I doubt I'll make a card for it, but keep the beast spells anyway. Just roll magic dice when there are animals around.

The catch to Hesperides, though, is that you haven't seen any normal animals in town. Daphne and Sigrlinn flew south of the border to hunt.

@LS: What's your intention behind the suggestion to 'divide and conquer'? Would Ireth and I be picking different locations and splitting up, or did you mean something else?

Replies coming eventually. I was offline yesterday for Catholic reasons.

Last week, our priest put out a challenge for Lent sacrifice: pick a day to go without any electronics—TV, phone, computer… I even had the music off in my car, though that was just a coincidence. I'm really a lousy Catholic when it comes to giving up stuff for Lent, and I'm semi-hypocritical too. I mean, I'll say how giving up meat is lame if you're have lobster on Friday (since only people who love lobster would do that), but I rarely come up with something a whole lot better for myself. Like this year… I didn't give up anything besides standard meatless Friday, and even then it's only because my wife fixes me a cheese sandwich for lunch at work.

But I thought the no tech for a day challenge would be fun. (And I actually pulled it off—from 8:00am yesterday when my wife reminded me what I agreed to to 8:13am this morning. 24+ hours. Yay me.) The fun is that I ended up playing legos with my daughters. I made a monster using tooth-like pieces the Frozen set (which I'll bet ARE teeth for Lego Elves dragons).

Semi-related: I think I can get my girls into Lego Elves. Maybe.

No worries, LS. Giving up electronics for Lent is allowed. ;) Thanks for the explanation.

Oops... forgot I didn't answer this. (So THAT'S what I was about to do when my wife reminded me of the electronics sacrifice.)

I was gonna say I meant, in out-of-game terms that NPCs would basically go where you don't go (and their efforts will inevitably prove fruitless because you're the heroes of the story).

I didn't mean for your characters to split up, but you're certainly allowed to do that.

LS: now that things changed again, I don't know if Kell can do magic to change her clothes, or if perception is now something we rp instead of roll for.

Magical clothing doesn't break the game. Keep it aside from the ice armor and other Lv.4 functional outfits.

I like us not rolling and not have any real differences in perception, though we could kind of assume some expertise/advantage for each class... but it's just RP. You either see enemies or you don't. Having someone on horseback means you have someone watching the road ahead of you.
