Akamaru: In times that Aliron is not "visible" or off on his own, I play by PM. It keeps the group in the dark of where you are, what you are doing (what you found. SHHH, that's a secret). But also be aware, that when we can't see you, you are in danger of being hit by people that don't see you.

My last PM was: "Aliron; Marius disappeared, so I will concentrate on my target so I don't accidently shoot a shadow."

It adds mystery to your character, and in battle it makes for interesting occurrences. We had an elf ranger and Elf Aliron that would be all over the place and "appear" out of no where, and strike enemies or assist friends.

LS-Does Marius have a portrait yet? Incase we need a battle map?

If you got it, flaunt it. Unless you're in town. In town, hide it then flaunt in front of the right person. Fly away if you're wrong about the right person being the right person because he's the wrong person and the wrong person wants to burn you. You might be wrong about that too, but... aw, never mind. The standard valkyrie response is faster:

SILENCE, MORTAL!
Frankenstein welcoming party might happen in town; torches and pitchforks type thing.

I am not sure how the sneaking thing works, but I was imagining myself standing a couple of feet behind the dwarf with the bow ready so the dwarf wouldnt see me. He might not notice but I am not hiding in trees or anything, so anyone who is facing the dwarf would probably be able to see me.

Found this and thought of Cadell. XDDD Maybe if they ever make it to the Drimmen-delve and convince the dwarves to make him a better hand, they can take some inspiration from it.

Nice! The party is getting close to the dwarven kingdom. As long as you guys don't end up at war with them by the time you arrive, Cadell should be in good shape :D

The point I hope was made clear in the most recent update is that while both the orcs and dwarves are willing to at least hear the party out, they have centuries of long-standing hatred between them and whenever one race is brought up to the other, things tend to go off the rails. Neither race has a reputation for being entirely reasonable about such matters :)

Darin went ape-shit when the lizard people were in the long-ago-abandoned dwarf tunnels. I get the feeling Korgak is the more rational of the leaders. Bladhart might get an orc-friend tattoo from the rune master. "See? I have the tattoo, same as Cadell" will be her only words in Drimmen-Delve before it's dwarf-toss-or-die time.

So Marius is visible again to the party, but behind the dwarf, so he can't see. But will be visible to orc escort.

I did lol when Branwen followed, she never followed Aliron, but he also never had her attention when he slipped away.

It was better for Baldhart to speak to Korgak, and better for Cadell to speak to the dwarves. Had Baldy spoken (in reply to a curse), she would have used intimidate and the gist of her message would have been, 'we're saving you, idiots, don't **** this up.'

Carell's diplomatic handling is preferable.

Hey guys...back after some traveling last week.

How does everyone's schedule look over the holiday season? I'll be traveling but should have computer access every day, so what I'll probably do is update the game thread over Xmas/New Years holidays, and then just post subsequent updates when everyone has chimed in.

I'll be home for Christmas, you can count on me... :D Though I will be doing a lot of kid-sitting and otherwise spending time with family, so my computer time will be a bit limited.

Nissa's CHA check warmed Brok up a bit. But perhaps only a bit. If she tried that on Tumi, on the other hand...

Baldhart should have s good idea of the orcs' numbers. She tells Nissa how many warriors, how many reds. She doesn't say it out loud in case Tumi or someone would run off with the info, endangering Burnbright.

I'll wait for an update from Steerpike with the dwarves' responses before I catch Cadell up to those who go to get the armor.
