Or the alley cat may just have Addison's urge to rip Chrissy's dress off, in which case its claws would only contact her clothing without penetrating the skin. The dress would more likely be shredded than off, and at that, shredded in a way that doesn't indecently expose her. A cat can only do so much.

EDIT - Also, I just watched the Cinderella movie with my daughters. It turns out swarms of rats mend and make clothing, so the cat will rip Chrissy's dress, the rats will mend it, then the cat will chase the rats to eat them. They'll be gone, and Chrissy's dress will be intact, and maybe have a sash or other new accessory.

Hm, looks like I was ninja'd while away-from-keyboard. Rikhard's post is meant to take place before Addy's talk with Milton and Pauly.

Hey, uh, Akamaru, before you go having magical effects rampage through a significant portion of the setting, it would be a good idea to check in with the GM. This is the sort of thing that affects the entire storyline and isn't really down to one player.

I'm okay with most of what you've written, but "The feelings of disappointment quickly replaced themselves with those of fear which likewise spread through all of the people who had fallen under the effects of the spell. People started screaming and fleeing from animals in the streets as they rampaged about wildly" is escalating things beyond what I'd find appropriate. Having dogs corner Chris in an alley is cool, having magic backfire and subtly influence people around her is cool, but disrupting the entire scene isn't, so much.

LS, could you edit AG's post to remove those two sentences--if you get where I'm coming from, Akamaru? We can continue with the effects of Chris's magic being more mild and localized.

I'm off to bed for the night. Don't expect a post from me until late tomorrow or Monday; I'll be out of town for a lot of the day on Sunday.

Okies, sorry. Got a little carried away, I'll admit.

Lol, no problem, sometimes ideas snowball while rping. Just a good rule of thumb is that if it affects more than a few people, or if it's meddling significantly with the surroundings, check with the GM. Other examples might be having monsters/enemies pop up, casting great big spells, or splitting up the party. I'm here to make sure things stay sort of balanced and coherent!

I'm working on a post (this mystery woman idea is turning out to be more writing than I expected) but afterwards, Farrun is pretty much going to be, er, dead to the world, so that's me wrapped up. Everybody else okay with wrapping up this scene within the next few rounds of posting, or were there any big ideas brewing? Obviously, the quicker you are the more you're welcome to get in--and Chrisania has to be out of danger for sure.

I think I set up Chrissy's escape opportunity. Addison currently has an urge to kill the other two dogs, but once she's out of the dog's head, that will pass. So I think it's safe to wrap up the scene once this conflict is resolved.

Okay, so I stayed up a bit later to help resolve this. All set on Addy's end, though I'll check in the morning and see if it makes sense to have her speak.

Figured I needed to explain where Loke was to be missing the magical mishaps involving menacing menageries. The answer, at least tangentially, involves bees.

Farrun might think that going to a festival was a good idea, but after Bendalitz's dancing, Addy and Chris's mental mayhem, and Loke's bee fixation, I think they should all really stay away from the booze, and possibly away from the public...

I, Loke Bloodaxe, shall show you the meaning of tossing."

"Gods, I hope not."
This is my favorite line of the rp so far, I've decided

Job interview tomorrow; must stop goofing around and get sleep. If the scene ends, that's fine. I'll check in the afternoon, but in the meantime assume Addison will zombie-shamble wherever Rikhard and Chrisania want to take her.

Long interviews are the worst, particularly panel interviews. Hey, at least they enjoyed your company enough not to cut it short!

I'm gonna give everybody time to have their characters finish their adventures and get to bed/nestled in the gutter before posting the next morning. Next up--getting Chrisania into the group! Hey, I've put Farrun in a good mood, the rest is up to you, AG. ^^

I'm waiting on Addy's response to Rikhard before I post again to get them inside or wherever.
