From the action thread:

"Oh, and I hope you don't mind having your horses becoming warg's food." I add with a mean grin, disappearing in the cellar.

Heehee. I'd already had the same thought: had anyone argued with Hiljikki, she was going to say that in the event of another attack, she'd take up protecting the mounts… on the assumption that Baldhart and Burnbright were sufficient force to deal directly with any attackers. And that Baldhart could simultaneously protect Burnbright. (This group shows its concern for the girl's welfare in some seriously peculiar ways.…)

For that matter, Darin is showing his concern for his mission in a peculiar way as well: the message has yet to be sent. Hiljikki already knows where it needs delivered, true; she could write it herself—but coming from a strange hand, and probably not in the writing system that would be expected from a dwarf scout, its plausibility would likely suffer.

And that's assuming she's still alive, not eaten by another wave of warg-riders (or at least their mounts) by the time she's recovered enough to send it.…

Just sayin'.

(And you're all just gonna love what she suggests after she sends the message.… ;) )

@Steerpike: you might want to have Darin (retroactively) think of this on his own, at some point before he goes diving down into the unknown. (He can't have thought of writing it as soon as Hiljikki said one would be required, or else he would have had little reason not to leave with Bren.) Maybe he chased her upstairs and left it with her before she sacked out. (Which would also give him the opportunity to let Baldhart know what's going on, since no one else did.) Guess it depends on how easily you feel he'd be distracted by the opportunity to explore his ancestors' works.…

Haha, Mauve reminded them as a way to bother them - she's upset because of their careless behaviour, so she wants everyone to be upset as well.

She blacked out during the night, she didn't hear the wargs. Had she hear them she would say that it's a very, very bad idea to leave the mounts alone and tied.

Yes! Hahaha!

Mauve would warn Baldhart too, ranting as she ranted to Hiljikki. It was her main objective when she climbed back to the temple, however, she stumbled on Baldhart on the way, not needing to do this.

Fffft. Every time I leave my computer someone else does the interesting stuff before I get a chance to think of it. ._. *shakes fist at Aliron and his trap-checking*

Yeah it works nicely. And since you guys are in some dark underground passageway, the maps are only going to show what is perceptible to the characters at any given time. That may allow for more zooming in like this one.

I know! And Ravana made all the good points before I did!

I know, right? Hard for some people to get a post in edgewise at times. And when I do get online again, I can't think of anything to post!

Almost makes you wish we had a smaller party. . .

Almost, yeah. I don't do too well with large numbers of players all at once. Learned that the hard way with one of my old RP forums. :/ I wound up starting a spinoff with just one other player from our group, and that's been going strong for a few years now, while the original one died after one year or so. Though that was for a lot of different reasons.

Hee.

Well, if it makes you feel any better: there might be a game coming along fairly soon in which you won't have to worry about getting things in around me. Not as a player, at least.…

(Still talking things over with Steerpike, trying to get him to give up a few extra details about this world. We'll see if I still like the idea once he does. So no promises yet. Nor details: just gonna have to wait and see.…)

It may be wise to divide our party. Maybe have one half go to the Drimmen-delve while the other half focuses on training Burnbright, or something of that sort.

Oh? *leans forward, intrigued* Sounds like fun.

(Though, if you're out of the picture, there's still everyone *else* to work around, so yeah...)

Keeping a secret in this party is like keeping a secret at a hair salon. A mind erasing gun would only protect a secret for a day and a half tops.

This doesn't really count since Ankari said it without warning (And went against the advice of the priest of Tyr in the process) Besides, Matthew still has his mind erasing gun.

There is no use to argue, Mauve still won! You could erase her mind, you could kill her (don't!!!) and the fact that she came to know the secret wouldn't go away. >D

I'm a bit used to this, actually, it's easier than the tabletop RPGs I've played with my friends. They're often too noisy, yell a lot, so it's hard to get my actions across. Hah!

Hey guys - I'll get a post up soon. I ended up falling asleep early last night after working around 14 hours, so I really wasn't on top of things. I think I even forgot to put Cadell on the bloody map :)

Everyone was surprised by the mounts when they decided to kick some asses. I think Baldhart is expressing her envy of them in a quite eccentric way. ;x
