Hiljikki can get out there with her bow and reindeer, right?

Hirvi is far too smart for that sort of thing. Nor has Hiljikki tried to change his instincts in the matter. She will occasionally take a shot from astride, but only if the opposition can't close quickly. Or if it's gonna catch up no matter what she does. Since she isn't much of a rangiferian (yes, I just invented that word—and then looked it up: whaddya know? I was right), she prefers Hirvi to be standing still when she does try it.

Game on now, people. We have our first amputation. It'll be okay, Ireth. Rydh will be coming for Cadell.

Steerpike, I couldn't remember whether the penalty we discussed for Cadell using his non-dominant hand applied to attack rolls or damage rolls. Feel free to adjust the outcome of my latest and subsequent attack posts accordingly if I got it wrong. ^^

Sounds good. I'm thinking attack rolls. He's still strong enough that damage should be the same.

((I think I get it. 1d4 = riderless wolf attack, 2d4 = with rider.))

No, I just gave that wolf 1d4 because instead of just attacking, it was also trying to grab Cadell and pull him off the horse, so it wasn't focused on the kill and inflicting maximum possible damage.

Ireth, if your horse wasn't such an awesome fighter, I'd mount her!

(I get a +2 to-hit boon on horseback, but it's wasted since I get a -2 to-hit penalty for swinging my weapon one-handed.)

So, after the battle, I say we get Matthew's torches and look for Cadell's hand. The snow should preserve—
