I don't mind. The idea is to have fun, and everyone is still level 1. A few levels in, I'm not likely to approve such a change. Go ahead and change the stats if those appeal to you more.

So it really was the calm before the storm. I wonder if that CON check made a difference between getting zapped and not.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the way the story is unfolding. Good job on Sir Matthew's part for finding that rolz is back. Just test-rolled STR/CON checks on Unseen Servant and got 14, 21. Still successful, depending how hard it is to tear off a glowing necklace. I guess random is random, but I do like pasting the image from rolz better than posting those links. Back to rolz for me, but I'm keeping the Unseen link just in case.

Why do I think Ankari will forego the use of Rolz?

Sparkie - you guys are being good to Burnbright. As I told LS in a PM, I used her once before as an NPC in a game years ago (well, a different girl in that story, but I re-used the name). The party thought as a kid she'd make a great spy to go scope-out dangerous areas beneath a city. She got caught, had a few teeth yanked out while they tortured her for information. Then she was beaten and left for dead. One party member ended up getting killed by some of the townspeople who didn't take kindly to them sending her in there, and then the party retaliated and killed that guy. Murder charges ensued and the party had to flee the town with only the clothes on their backs, never solving the mystery of the dangerous cult operating in the area 
So with that one instance to compare it to, you guys are treating Burnbright nicely.

Since Battle 3 appears to appoching. I have a few questions about my ranged weapons, the Javelin.
Do you use STR or DEX for throwing it?
Does my Weapon Speicalization for Spears work for Javelins?
What is the Die used for damage with it?

Javelins do 1d6+STR MOD and have a range increment of 30 feet.
You use your DEX bonus on your to-hit roll, but get the STR mod on damage because it is a thrown weapon. Weapon specialization for spears does not work with javelins.

Mounted combat. This is gonna be so cool! I can already see Matthew with spear in hand, charging hard. Cadell too, letting arrows fly from horseback. Good luck to our knights!
Funny thing… Baldhart has a +2 to-hit boon on horseback, but Steerpike said with her strength she can use her two-handed sword with one hand with a small to-hit penalty of -2. What this means is that, on horseback, I could use the same weapon and my boon/penatlies would cancel each other out.
Just an observation. But no horse for Blady, so… have fun knights—and druid. Hiljikki can get out there with her bow and reindeer, right?

I made a last-minute decision to enter the Dragon's Egg challenge. It was a fun afternoon of writing. I spent a few minutes editing after posting, but I think I'm happy with it now.

Thank you, I am looking forward to reading this. I'll post a separate thread for entries as well, but for now it's good right where it is!
I can move the posts to the new thread… though I may have to copy-paste since the posts would appear chronologically, meaning they'd overtake the OP, pushing it into the 5th position.

No problem. Looks like a fun story, from my glance at it.
