Additional treasure taken from the drow sorceress (from the bag found in the drawer in the altar, not coins taken from bodies):

26 regular gold coins - human-made, from the north
17 regular silver coins

68 drow gold coins - slightly smaller than a regular gold piece and carved with images of drow and their spider goddess

2 polished, round rubies, one around the size of a marble and one slightly larger
a cut and polished diamond, tear-drop shaped, about 3 carats in weight

I didn't bother to roll a CHA check to see if Baldhart could maintain her "poker face" when told how much the diamond is worth. She can't.

She's going to make sure she gives the merchant some business. She's looking for stuff like a monk would wear. I think this cosplay of the Diablo III female monk is the closest I can find to what Baldy's going for.

Rolz has a new feature: you can "roll" for insanity.

Screen_Shot_2015-04-15_at_7_47_55_PM.png

Should SP ever roll these effects, my characters will both be very scared if anyone "fetishizes height." I suppose as long as that same person "avoids genitals at all costs," there's nothing to worry about.

Q: Who fetishizes nuclear weapons?
A: Hey, what about Major Kong?

Just a bit more on the Rolz features, which likely will not be used for any current game on this site. But still… I had to play with the feature.

Here's my randomly generated NPC (rolled: "gen npc")
Name: Erlenia Hoch Eglofsrach, Occupation: Scribe, Traits: literate, frail, chatty, Psychology: , Age: 47, Hair: long red, Eyes: brown, Social Ties: friend (cultist, demanding), History: betrayed a close friend at 26, survived a plague at 30, lost a finger at 32, was framed for a crime at 33, contracted a disease but recovered at 35
She's reading a book ("gen book")…
A Quasi-Fractional Acceptance of the Cyclical Gods
…at a tavern ("gen tavern")
House of Watering Cocks
And is the nine-fingered red-head insane? ("gen insanity")
overly fond of sex
You be the judge.

I think Alin should have rolled a check for Silent. If the check fails:

STEIG: "The diamond is worth thousands."
ALIRON: "PVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV!!"
STEIG: "Holy shit! I just pooped my drawers! What the hell was that noise? Is that your weird singing girl?"
BRECHTEL: "That is no girl. It is either a demon or someone spitting coffee."
GUARD: "Sir. Request permission to look up."
BRECHTEL: "Granted."
GUARD: "Coffee dripping from leaves on... that tree. Sir."
BRECHTEL: "So, a coffee spit-take it is. Well, there's ten seconds of my life I'll never get back. Steig, what say going forward you leave the inquisitioning to me, whilst you stick to selling arrows, pants and such?"

Probably could do a spit take.
Aliron has on occasion had a "finders fee"( come on, He's a thief, (also how I justify the N.E alignment.)
To clarify, if he didn't find it, he won't steal it from the group.
But a gem this expensive would be to much to keep secret. (he would be weighted down to much with gold if he ever sold it, he wouldn't be able to carry it all by himself.)

Baldhart was really hoping to smash it with a hammer. Maybe Nissa can cheer her up with a pep talk.

Nissa : emotional strength :: Baldhart : physical strength

I only rolled that^ to see if Nissa would start crying after talking about her father. Apparently, Rolz knows Nissa's too awesome to get weepy. I wonder if her words to Dalla were persuasive because of her charisma. (Of course, she did tell Dalla she can "tell Baldhart to ---- herself," and that might be persuasive without a check.)

Baldy might be able to smash it with a hammer. There's at least a chance if she beat it hard enough it would work. And I already have a table prepared for potential effects from the unleashed magic for when I thought she was going to try to smash it last time. No sense letting it go to waste :)

Some such items can be destroyed physically, if enough force it brought to bear, but we believe that such an act would instantly release all of the magic that went into the making of the item, with potentially disastrous consequences.
NISSA'S RESPONSE: "Put the hammer away, Baldy."

NISSA'S RESPONSE: "Hey, Baldy, how about vowing to Brynhild that you won't hit magic things with your hammer? That would be a great saaaaaacriiiiifiiiiiiice. Brynhild loves you when you make sacrifices."

Zoran's response: Hey why don't we place it on Aeron then Baldhart can hit the knife with a hammer as hard as she can.
Although I actually think it could possibly be a good way to defeat him.

Unless SP's table is something like:

1halve planet
2-3turn everyone in 100' radius into chickens
4-6melt 1d4 limbs of everyone in a 50' radius
7-10-2d20 hp to everyone in a 20' radius
11-1450% of death to everyone in a 5' radius
15-17nude bomb effect to everyone in a 20' radius
18-19shards emit annoying purple light for 10 minutes
20+1d100 hp to everyone with Evil Alignment in a 5' radius

Nissa wouldn't care. "Oh, I have to fight naked again. Meh."

She had little choice at Level 2, when her body was temporary. Brynhild gave her a permanent body at Level 3. (I'm curious about what gift she might get at Level 4.)

Heh. I like the nude bomb idea.

My table is just a slightly more dangerous version of the runaway magic table, with the level of the magic item being destroyed substituting for the "corruption" modifier in the table. The more powerful the magic item being destroyed, the worse it can get.

Yeah. I kinda figured corruption is possible. Baldhart really doesn't want that!

(And yet the fool was going to give the knife a whack, if not for party members warning her of the danger. I'm not sure if the anti-corruption ring would have protected her.)
