Prediction:

Liadan

Zoran and Baldhart's conversation draws my interest. I look at the paladin, wondering whether I can see his aura.

((WIS is prime, so I think that is a success. I think I should leave this for Steerpike to describe. I'm drawing a blank for aura ideas.))

Liadan can almost see a hint of something different at the edge of Zoran's armor. She can't quite make out what it is, but perhaps if she were to stare long enough. Perhaps if the entire party were to stare at Zoran in the amount of time it takes to walk to the cells, Zoran's aura might be visible.

@Ireth, maybe Liadan was trying to figure out why Baldhart was staring. Then… CAUGHT!

That happened to me in 5th grade. A girl said, "[Gasp!] He's staring at me!" She was cute by fifth-grader standards, but I was staring at the wall. I didn't say anything since I didn't know what to say at the time. I still don't.

Sorry, Liadan. I got nothing.

You could just say you were curious from the conversation, and wondered if he had markings of a human god. She could still blame Baldhart, as if trying to figure out what Baldy was attempting to see.

I don't know what a shitty WIS check looks like from another character's POV. I suppose it could include "obvious staring."

Human god? Is that even possible in this rpg if so I am totally for being a human god but, I think there would have to be a lot of restrictions for that type of character.

LS means marking that denote Zoran as following a god worshipped by humans as opposed to elves. Not that Zoran is a god.

Oooh ok I like my version of the idea better.
Also I think I am still waiting for symbols, brands or tattoos inquisition, might have so I can have one on shoulder with gash through it.

Yeah, sadly I HIGHLY doubt being a god avatar or the like is possible in this setting. Valkyries are the closest we get, and those are still servants, not even really demigods.

Bummer but I guess it's not surprising, however now I most definitely need to know more about inquisition.

@Philster,

Baldhart was telling the truth, so you can stick with him accepting her words as truth.

I was kinda kidding about the crazy, but I meant Baldhart was choosing her words somewhat carefully to avoid coming off as no different than the zealots Zoran despises (though she also revealed her feelings about her goddess' gentle side, which has left a strong impression on her).

Funny thing is it's thanks to Ireth that Nissa appeared at all. At first, I just had Nissa as a character Baldhart could see and talk to. I imagined her as real, but left it open to interpretation since in-game she didn't seem to be allowed. When Ireth suggested Nissa getting something when Baldhart hit level 2, SP asked me if I preferred Nissa real or not. After she appeared, other players has ideas on how to put her to work, so I gave her some stats—no official class but her "class prime" is charisma. At level 3, she was given a permanent body. Before, she would disappear after 10 minutes.

In her last battle, she flew around naked and kicked fish demons. She was clothed only in human blood after failing to revive an elderly man. Children ran screaming at the sight of her, but she was well received the next day.

Hey guys, I'm traveling through Tuesday but I'll be making posts during that time period. I want to move ahead to the encounter with the last of the drow, so if you haven't already done so, please clarify where you want your character to be waiting when the drow come into the room from the north.

Finally made it home.
Long trip and problems, ran over a truck tie down and damaged a tire in high winds and single digit temp.
Quick tire change though.

Tough times, but had a good visit and also with my one daughter getting married and the other finishing pharm tech school, probably the last time we will be able to go on a trip together.

Baldhart is by the door, as close as she can be to the opening (without getting hit by the door if it opens toward her), planning to grab the person who opens it then pull him to the ground so she and her target are out of the way of the arrows readied for the other drow. She has a piece of her clothing wrapped around her hand, with sleep poison spread on the center of the cloth.

Readied grapple check = 19.
CON save in case Baldy accidentally touched the poison while working with it = 17 (which I think was barely enough to keep Bressel awake, so *phew*)
