When Alin told Baldy about projectiles and wearing armor, there was that part of me that thought, she can deflect arrows. But she's a much better grappler, and there's no way I'd have her ask Alin to shoot at her just to prove she can occasionally catch an arrow with her hand instead of her torso. For fun, I rolled 5 deflect missile attempts on MSTest1.

(Archer needs 11 to hit Baldy. She needs a 21 to catch arrows from a level 3 archer.)

1D20+2+3 => 6 #shoot the barbarian monk! (Baldy wasn't tall enough to swat this one.)

1D20+2+3 => 19 #shoot the barbarian monk! (Baldy caught it!)

1D20+2+3 => 10 #shoot the barbarian monk! (Baldy dodged it with her monk class AC and swatted it from the air)

1D20+2+3 => 23 #shoot the barbarian monk! (Baldy deflected it!)

1D20+2+3 => 23 #shoot the barbarian monk! (Nice shootin', Tex. Damage to Baldy: 1D8 => 4)

1D20+3+4-2 => 16 #DEX non-prime (fail, but it missed)

1D20+3+4-2 => 24 #DEX non-prime (success)

1D20+3+4-2 => 23 #DEX non-prime (success, but it missed)

1D20+3+4-2 => 21 #DEX non-prime (success)

1D20+3+4-2 => 10 #DEX non-prime (fail, HP down to 31)

As Ireth pointed out already, Rolz loves Baldhart.

Update coming in just a bit. Just to keep things moving, unless I hear otherwise I'm going to assume that Aliron, Bressel and Baldhart to go where Masama and the girls were hiding.

I think the 20+ Baldhart should be able to do the Old Jack Burton.(Big trouble in little China) Catch it and throw it back.

That does bring up an interesting question;
Heartbow special shot versus Monk deflection, arrow that can't miss with a monk that can defect it.

That is an interesting question.

Monks can't deflect magic missiles, but is the arrow considered a magic missile, or is it magically guided?

If Baldy can deflect it, her odds are 20% (if I'm right that she has to roll 21+ vs. a level 3 archer). For other arrows, her odds are better in the sense that the arrow can fail to hit her so she won't need to deflect.

Ponder, you may want to rethink your post. The priest of Tyr, Father Geralt, has been dead for a good many pages now.

Father Geralt is dead. The village has others who served under him who are still around. They're probably more like acolytes, though I did refer to the man as a priest in my own post, which I suppose is overstating the case. One of them will likely be elevated to high priest with Father Geralt gone.

Of course, being associated with the murderers, who were presumably seen to have performed magic, and then going to the temple specifically to ask if they have any books on magic, is a different story :)

Yes I think it may well be, however I thought the townspeople would be happy we saved them from 2 attacks, regardless of the methods, Plus I reckon this sneaky priest may well be upto some spells in his back rooms when no one is around now the high priest is gone. :p And I was only asking if he had any books on it, Perhaps I am truly a scholar just studying evil things :p

Hey guys... I've been on the road, and I'm out this weekend visiting my daughter for my birthday. I can only post from my phone until I get to a computer tonight. Then I'll catch us up.

Any chance on a time push that works out for everyone? Only Aldar's awake, and Nissa can come out if the push is 3+ hours. But it's fine with me if you push time forward even more, so the resting players can wake up.

Cool! Looking forward to it.

Ironically, I'm looking to write Nissa separated from Baldy in my next in-game post, but I've got these two in a WIP with Nissa in Baldy's head. Baldy doesn't know Nissa's real in my WIP, and Baldy isn't such a blabbermouth. She's mute!

I don't know how much you intend to push the game forward, but I assume it won't be a problem for Mauve. She won't make an appearance before most of the day has passed.

I've been kept busy since friday, I believe around tuesday I'll have take care of most pendencies and will be able to start bring the grumpy mage back to scene. Wish me luck, by the way. After four months waiting I'll finally take my driving exam! I don't think I remember how to drive anymore.

OK, I never did get to a wifi connection. But I did have a nice visit with my daughter (19th birthday!). Catching up now :)

Nissa's post starts in the day*, but it doesn't matter how many hours she flies for fun or when she finally finds Fiona or anything else she's looking for. It's simpler to have everyone on the same timeline, so I'm fine if Nissa just enters the temple or meets Fiona at dusk, then I RP from there with the possibility of being spotted by other players.

Aldar would likely have seen Nissa in the temple, I suppose.

*In retrospect, I should have had her post start in the "Afternoon," so it's more of a vague daytime. My only point was that by the time Baldy (or anyone else) sees her, Nissa's already figured out that her body won't disappear.

Nissa said:
I wonder how odd it must be to humans to see the chair moving, but they can't see who's pushing it.
Anyone with a one-year-old might know exactly how odd this looks. Hannah (18 mo.) always pushes adult chairs, either to wash hands for dinner or so she can see the counter when my wife is making something.

It's funny to see the chair move while Hannah is obscured by a table or counter. My daughter's taller than Nissa (and about the average height for a halfling), so I can picture Nissa's stature easily. At 8 or 9 months, Hannah was Nissa's height (2'3").
