go ahead and do your battle cry, or employ those flashy spells, I'll be quiet and remain in the shadows and drop the enemy with little or no blood shed.
Alirons worst wound was when he sat in the front of the boat. Death comes the shadows guided by foul feathers.

Oh, great Baldhart is bathing again, what happened last time she bathed.
Fishies swarmed after her. What will this bath attract.

Aliron feels its been 7 months since he's saw Branwen, he's wanting to go check on her, even though its only been a day?

oh yeah quick question LS how tall is baldart again? I know she's tall but i'd like a reminder of exactly how tall.

(just thinking of how big to make Batos in his elven form when he does get it back, making him match Baldart in size would be hilarious)

Here's his description of when he is going to be elven again -also, you will discover that he gets a tad... dark.

The first thing you notice of him is his immense height and build. Unlike some elves with their usually slender builds, Batos has been fighting since a young child in order to defend keitsumah and thus has packed a dense amount of muscle. His ice-blue eyes seem to bore into your very soul, and are hidden beneath long, unruly black hair that flows down to his shoulders and is usually tied back into a low ponytail. He has three scars on one shoulder, one across his eye, and an “X” shaped scar on his hip. His fingertips end in hooked claws, one trait that didn’t leave him despite no longer being a wolf. In fact, his features seem almost too sharp for a true elf, and he always moves in a more animalistic manner. He also has a tendency to curl one lip to reveal longer-than-normal canines, though they are not actual fangs.

Just so you guys know i have structured his stats to be more DEX and STR and CON than anything else -so he's not very charming. Only enough so that i don't have to deal with the negative numbers lol.

Also, the stats and these things don't go into effect until Keit transforms him. For now, he is just an ordinary wolf.

btw, @Steerpike does he get any stat bonuses or anything since he's a lvl two wolf now?

Oh… he's transforming! There goes Nissa's mount.

(I actually remember reading, a long time ago, something about valkyries riding wolves. Nissa's the only valkyrie short enough to really do that.)

Cute. And… affordable if I can sell some crap! I may be able to afford a warhorse for Baldy. Considering her size, I don't know if I should hold out for a heavy.

Buying food just pushed me below 100g. Maybe the next town will have a ranch.

Speaking of steeds, I think Cadell still owes Baldy a riding lesson. Becoming a nun doesn't take away the boon for fighting on horseback, does it? Then again, I think it'd be hard to fight hand-to-hand when one hand will need to be holding the reins most of the time...

Wait, I hope that food wasn't 2-weeks worth food. Otherwise Mauve already bought it for Burnbright and Branwen. 1 week of dried, smoked or something-that-won't-rot-meat for Branwen, actually, I think Mauve was hoping they would hunt for fresh meat when possible + share her own rations.

If anything, being a nun should get more boons, like…

…like having your own, personal valkyrie.

Okay. Doing well in the boon department. Baldhart won't call up and complain during her next prayer.

But yeah, I guess she'd have to ride up and kick an enemy in the head to use the +2 at all. I think fighting on horseback would only make sense if she happens to be on horseback when a fight starts.

It's not fighting hand-to-hand that sets her back, it's no longer using any weapon at all. I told SP her nunly vow would be to give up weapons completely when committing to the monk class. I couldn't personally justify using monk weapons that hurt less than the two-hander because of a class change. Baldhart has only trained with huge two-handers and her fists*.

*(A real back-story: training with Hanako, plus in her pre-Dragon's Egg thing I never got around to doing, Baldy was a bare-knuckle brawler who had a ranged attack called "Throw a Guy at Another Guy.")

Baldy bought two week's worth earlier, but just now, she's looking for something fresh to eat right away. After being in a cave all night, Burnbright's getting the good stuff.

Well, there's something to the idea of riding up to an enemy, lifting him from the ground and throwing him at the next guy... two skills for the price of one!

I thought you couldn't use ranged attacks? Better just use the first as a battering ram instead of a human missle. Wouldn't want to offend thy god.

I guess everyone was busy since friday.
I figured I'd have to catch up today.

Before going into brawler mode, I PM'd Steerpike to make sure throwing an enemy at another is allowed. It's not a conventional ranged weapon, and you have to get really close to the guy you're throwing.

My view of the taboo is that Brynhild wants to prepare valkyries for having to deal with those who fell in battle, so every time they deliver death in battle, it must be up close. (Just me trying to make sense of why a goddess of battle would limit her followers' choice of tactics. Personally, I find melee more fun, though riskier... so I actually like the limitation.)

Hey guys - I'm back this morning. Been out of range the past few days. I have a meeting that starts in about 45 minutes and is set to run 6.5 hours. I'm going to try to go and update right now, but people keep stepping into my office :)
