Baldhart can stand her ground without anger, and often does. She was harsh on Mauve and that was anger which she had actually held back because of her vow (whenever Mauve lashed out at her and she just took it or walked away). I imagined that she was conflicted, both wanting her friendship with Mauve back but also enjoying the freedom of being able to show her emotion as she's not tied to a vow. The same happened when Cadell revealed he told the gnolls of Baldy's plan, though she wasn't as harsh on him as she was genuinely shocked by his action. She was also more easily forgiving because she could see Cadell and Liadan wanted to put that ugliness behind them, where with Mauve she sees the damage to the friendship as permanent.
Nissa actually hates this vow about not showing anger (and contemplated talking her out of making it a vow, but didn't since she knew Baldy questioned whether Nissa was real or imaginary at that time--though Baldy tried to hide that doubt). She especially hated it during the sometimes abusive friendship with Mauve. Nissa didn't like a vow made on her behalf either, but being 800 years old and working for a goddess, she knows not to sweat the small stuff.
Actually, Nissa also can't stand how 'star-struck' Baldy is with Gisla, but doesn't say anything to Baldy. But again... small stuff. Not sweating it.
