lol dw -also writing forums doesn't seem to be very active atm so all of my attention (or at least most of it) is on here now.
And Ireth, i think i figured out a way to have Batos turn out to be an elf to begin with. Anyone against the idea of an elven druid mother turning her son into a wolf pup to save his life? (still working on the back-story)

On the surface I don't have an issue with it, but why would she turn him into a pup? Why not an older wolf who could take care of himself? Was there a pack of wolves nearby who had just lost a litter, and so she gave her own son to them as a substitute? (Actually, I kinda like that idea... but then, how would she get him back?) Also, why would the change be needed in the first place?

Yeah, I usually post at night. Didn't get a chance to last night, and so far I haven't even been able to grab a lunch today, so it looks like it will be another two or three hours before I can get out of here and update.

Those on stairs...if you make DEX check and didn't fall down, you will reach the top of the stairs this round. Difficulty is only 1 this round, so if DEX is prime a 13 makes if; if not prime a 19 makes it.

Just to clarify - the DEX check is to be able to make it to the top, not to cross the gap. It's to not fall when the reptile slammed into the stairs again
It'll take the rest of the round from where you guys are just to get to the top
Does that mean a failed DEX check allows for further action, such as climbing the cliff wall? Hate to drop a perfectly good sword, but… beats staying in the water!

I'm curious too. Does a fall mean a splash in the sea or a faceplant into the stairs? I don't want to have LÃadan bracing herself for the former if she's in no danger of taking a dip (yet!).

No, right now a failed check means you fell onto the stairs, and you'll have to get back on your feet and won't make it to the top this round. The jolt wasn't enough to send anyone into the water. You can assume it encompasses, falling, grabbing something or digging into the deck to keep from sliding, getting back to your feet etc.
