Chews with mouth open so you can see how shiny his teeth are? (The ones without little food clumps stuck to them.)

About Baldy's trip to the smith's…

I can't believe a +2 AC shield is only 7 gold. Does the smith have one? I don't care if he lets Baldy borrow it or makes her buy it. +2 AC with a -2 to hit trade-off, but I think Baldhart will toss the shield aside when enemies get close and just swing her sword with both hands. That, or keep the shield if her main purpose of fighting is to maintain a wall, not just kill, kill, kill.

*sigh* Cadell, for the love of crying out loud, decide what you're going to say and SAY it.

Cadell: Easy for you to say. You're not the one who stands to sacrifice her honor by willfully leading enemies into traps. I thought the point of this parley was to keep the gnolls from attacking.

Me: Yeah, but the search-the-village idea didn't factor into Baldy's plans, did it? You're going to have to improvise. Aren't you supposed to be good at that? Use your charisma!

Cadell: Charisma is for liars, according to some. I'm dealing with the truth.

Me: Oh, come on! We've all waited far too long, there HAS to be a battle now. It'd be too anticlimactic if there wasn't. Though it would say a lot about your charisma if you single-handedly (heh, no pun intended) turned aside an army of gnolls, wargs and goblins...

Cadell: Somehow I think my charisma isn't what people are concerned about.

Me: Then you know what you need to do, don't you.

((sorry, I had to. Believe it or not it kind of helped. XD))

She's the only member of the party who doesn't know of the recent sighting. So, of course, the one girl who knows nothing of flesh-eating creatures in the area goes skinny dipping at night.

Nissa: I hear music.

Baldy: Was I humming?

Nissa: No, it was like, dun-DUN-dun-DUN-dun-DUN-dun-DUN-dun-DUN-dun-DUN-dun-DUN-dun-DUN...

Would it be cruel to have the fish demons show up while Baldy is swimming?
I'm just gonna leave her in the water and see if any post, GM included, reacts to that.

For the record, if all is normal, Baldy's only there for ~10 minutes. So if the next GM post is incoming gnolls, Baldy's dry and armored. If it's something else present time.........

@New guy - DON'T swim! Baldhart has a barbarian skill and a [SECRET] to prevent hypothermia.

The Jaws music or the hypothermia?

Honestly, the barbarian skill has no weight because of the thing your guy doesn't know about. But maybe he'd know of the barbarians' ability to handle extreme temperatures. She's been in cold water a couple of times without the thing that rhymes with thing and is worn on a thing that rhymes with thing thinger.

(( This is going to get nasty if we have two fights on our hands, I would be careful, If we get too involved in the battle down near baldhart then we wont be able to defend the town, Perhaps we should be considering abandoning the town, fighting the battle and escaping by sea. ))

Baldhart is inconsistently shy, so peek-a-boo when she's naked is an attack.

Maybe it's not inconsistent. What you don't see/hear is this:

Baldy: "EEEE! Don't look at meeee!"

Nissa: Brynhild's biggest pet-peeve is a valkryrie who's ashamed of her body.

Baldy: Really? Uh… "Check out my rock-hard butt!"

Will reply to Hall, just waiting for a clarification from SP as to whether it's obvious the attack is immediate (wake rushing to surface), or there's a possibility the fish demon will take a minute to gather its buddies.

This is the difference between fighting in the nude vs. not.

It gathers clothes, clothes. It throws them to Baldhart, as a form of charity.

Considering they're seeing just regular waves at this exact moment, I can't help but remember this thing with Caligula waging war on Poseidon and marching his army to the sea, only to command them to randomly throw spears at it. Except that Baldhart is naked. :x

I wasn't too keen on running into the water anyway, I just kept him on the shore shouting to see what the problem was.

I hope there is not too many battles at the one time going on or we will be spread pretty thin.

@Something, they should be sufficiently staggered. WE know that, but our characters don't—though if your character feels inclined to believe the gnolls, it's still dark, so feel semi-safe.
