Me too. I'd hate to see Mauve inside the Spear with Baldy and Gisla side by side!

By the way, I have Baldy heading up to talk to allies, so... which players are here? I don't want to move past the 'reveal plan' part without other players, so maybe I'll post after Aldar/Keit/Cadell/Liadan greets Baldy.

Keit and Something aren't that active, Ireth is still busy with her moving, the other players have their characters scattered... You'll have a couple of days to tell your plan. ^^'

The peasants all went home. So just Gisla and Aga in there now, and players who can easily find Baldy if they post.

These Tyr-worshippers are troublesome what with their way-too-popular ideas about honor, their killable priests, their temples always attracting fights…

You know what? When the geezer showed Baldy his holy symbol, she should've grabbed her symbol and beaned him in the forehead with it.

It was a really nice move of Baldhart to convince Gisla to not send the militia in a manhunt. Unfortunately, I don't think a certain mage will appreciate this gesture as I do.

Oh, the fun part of it is that Mauve is coming closer... exactly what Ankari did and you didn't want her to do too. Wait, what's that smell? Witch barbecue? :D

…I draw a sketch to help explain my plan to the party.

I realize the pulley system itself is inaccurately drawn, but the point is that there are pulleys which allow Nissa to pull the corks at once. Between party ropes and ropes already on the boat, I think we have enough rope.

Whether we have a party that wants to see dogs die painfully is another matter.

(I'm a cat person myself.)

Oh, I was wondering what the hell was all this "pulleys" and "corks" talk. Yes, I think you have enough rope.

Mauve: MAH ROPE, GIMME BACK!

Boats have lots of ropes and pulleys.

I know Mauve's PO'd at Baldy, but when she's calm, maybe she'll realize that the boat Baldy set up to be torched (or intended to, depending how goes) likely belonged to the fishermen who ratted us out.

Nissa won't send an army of fish demons because she believes in divine retribution for evil monsters, while ignorant villagers should only suffer petty revenge. Besides torching the fishermen's boat, Nissa had Baldy key their car on the way back to the Spear.

I knew nothing of your plan and initially you linked no drawing. =P

...when Mauve is calm.... huhuhuhuhu....

Yeah… that was given to Gisla and Hrolfr via PM, but the reply came up in the PM. I think Hrolfr would have gone for it if Baldy didn't say the gnolls would die no matter what if they were close enough to talk to her.

Nissa's parents also followed Freya, so she and Baldhart have a similar upbringing in regards to protecting families, children, the pregnant and the innocent. I imagine this sort of retribution would please both Freya and Brynhild for their own reasons, and both goddesses are Chaotic Good so it works alignment-wise that they or their followers would agree. Tyr likely frowns upon this act because He's Lawful Good, and therefore, is a weenie. Well, He can piss and moan about it with Father Herald and Father Geralt. Geralt will say, "This is a terrible thing to do to adult dog-people! Now a child bird-person… that's different."

Father Geralt was going to have a trial first, or at least a meeting of the Council to determine whether she is a demon. That's in accordance with law. :)

Are we talking about Branwen or Mauve? :)

First we try them, then we hang them...I mean burn them.

I'm trying to find out what mechanisms were used in the rigging of small, single-sail cogs (or even smaller boats), since that's what you guys are working with. Anyone have any idea?

@SP, I thought it made sense for Baldy to suggest Aliron build the trap (with Masama and two barbarians to do the heavy lifting). I could see her tying barrels to a piece of wood, but the part that requires rope through pulleys, and a means of attaching rope to a cork in a way that doesn't just have the cork slip off—that's where I believe Aliron's trap skill is needed. That, and rowing out of town before building makes it less likely they'll be seen building the trap.

EDIT - If it looks like this…

…Nissa will insist on having some bottles filled with oil that she can toss into the front of the boat to ensure the fire spreads.

She may also request a torch tied to the top of the mast that she can light, so she has both hands free to be destructive.

Sounds good. I'll have something posted this evening, but it might be a bit late. I'm going to be on the road most of the day and into the evening unfortunately.
