I'm hoping Aliron can use his lock picking skill to get her out. Maybe a STR/Primal check would have done it, but I'd rather let a player who has a proper prison-break skill handle the cage. Baldy already got to have her fun with the first door.

Baldhart takes a bar, Algernon takes a bar—how far apart we gotta bend 'em? Keit's pretty skinny.… ;)

I'm in no hurry. As mentioned, Algernon is trying to find whatever it is that's raising the wolves' hackles. If you want to try bending the bars apart, go ahead and post it. I figure if SeverinR doesn't chime in, Steerpike can always roll for him before he has anything else happen.

Looks like there's no time.

I'm not sure if Baldy has time to suggest a formation either, but since we now know what the room looks like, I thought I'd have her respond to what she sees.

@Steerpike, if speaking is not allowed, feel free to edit my post to say ((Baldy is in formation.)).

There's time to talk. I'm going to post again shortly, and if you like I can make a lock pick roll for Aliron. I doubt Severin would mind. Unless he posts first or you guys decide to try to bend the bars of the cage.

Can we post that Baldy observes his action, and if the lock pick fails, then she instinctively grabs the bars and calls on Algernon to do the same to the adjacent bar? (Or Algernon just DOES the same, since Ravana thought of it?)

I just don't want to steal Aliron's thunder. Here's Baldy's STR if she sees a lock-pick fail:

If Aliron succeeds, she doesn't do this.

2 things:

1st - I was adding level to my cha save. Was I supposed to? If not, 15 - it's a prime, so I guess I'm okay.

2nd - does 18 str bend the bars enough to get Keit out of the cage? I ask because I have a feeling Algernon will not get the cha save, since I'm assuming it's not a prime for him and he has a penalty in cha.

Ahhhh, I always forget to add my level! At least with my roll it wouldn't matter. ^^'

Anyway, I guess it's a spell so it's not a normal attribute check, it's a saving throw. I'm not sure, but I think it's something like:

Challenge Base - 12 or 18
+ Attribute Mod
+ Level
+ Extras (Racial, situational etc)

However, when using the SIEGE rolling above your challenge base doesn't grant automatic resist, for we don't know the Challenge Level, which equals to the caster level. If it was a... LVL 8 creature you would have failed.

So I was just looking at the Races thread and found this under Elf:

Spell Resistance: +10 to saves against sleep or charm type spells

I dunno if the music spell counts as a charm. If it does, should I add 10 to Cadell's roll? That'd put him at 24. ^^

Yes it does.

And for half-elves, if you favor elf side, your +4 bonus comes into play; if you favor human side it is +2.

I seriously doubt Keit was affected by the music at all, with a total roll of 29 (19 + 10). So your flashback might be unnecessary. Just a thought. ^^

yeah. edited mine as well anyways. oh dear does that mean keit will have to get involved a LOT with her first battle? (scrambles to check my spells)

Careful there. I'm not sure if anyone is in your "fail range" there, when fighting you'll wish to check it before casting arcane spells.
