Awesome. ^^ What sort of check *would* I use for something like that, anyway? CON or STR?

You can use either one, as you see fit. You don't need to insert a check for something like that, if you just want to write the narrative out in a way that is compelling to you. If you want to use a check to show a risk of failure or something like that, I'm fine with either STR or CON in that instance. You could make arguments for either one. Feel free to get creative with it.

If I was 3rd level, I might swim around to make my sword an anal probe on the sea creature, but I can still be knocked out in 1 round if it hits right. Knocked out in the water not good, unless I breathe water which I don't.

Running count-64 damage with to hit rolls 15 or higher, not including if my damage is double.

ouch, just noticed, Darin's 15 didn't hit. :0

damage for 17 or higher is 31?

Which really sucks because Baldhart rolled a 15 to-hit and 14 damage. Ouch!

I wonder if my STR check will keep Baldy unscathed, but with another consequence...! A funny idea popped into my head, which I'll share after I see the results.

Not that I want to be right. Or be attacked, really.

36 damage so far. Ugh... would have been 50 if Baldy aimed a little better. Don't suppose there's a situational bonus for the party not pissing its collective pants...?

And is that the 3rd exactly-15 or the 4th?

(16 hits - Baldy's first attack was a 16.)

Mauve's second attack was actually a22 to-hit (without the rear bonus), I hadn't the transformation bonus at the time. The damage is without the charge (if she could really charge). Let's see if the knife has anything special in it. :3

Does it transform an aquatic beast into a petite woman? That would be… well, mostly awkward.

"Sorry I tried to eat you." / "Sorry I tried shoving my sword down your throat." / "Well, I was trying to eat you." / "True that."

Looking at the new map... I think Cadell should be closer to the monster, if not on top of it, since his last action was to lunge and try to stab it.

Oh, you're right. I wrote that as an arrow shot. Let me edit that!

Sure. ^^ I think Cadell's given up on archery for now. XD

EDIT: Hm. Looking at your post and the way the monster writhes, I'd think Cadell would be flung off its back, though I'm not sure in which direction. That could be bad if he hits the water... he can't swim. D=

Sorry, I read that attack yesterday and I like the visual. For some reason, this morning I was imagining him as still shooting at it :) Let's assume Cadell is just on the other side of Baldhart and Rydh, right next to the thing.

Okay. So no flinging off when the monster writhes?

No. I rolled a STR check for the monster to see if it could fling people around, but it failed. So no one got tossed around, just jostled as the creature changed position. All of the characters were able to hold their ground against its movements.
