Was reviewing the game when I thought of this for Aliron:

"Death is a messenger I send on a bird of ash and Goose with a vicious razor tipped quill to punctuate my displeasure, dispatched by a bow known as Heartseeker."

Also listening to Aliron's song(Modred's lullaby) is this the last thing Aliron will hear when he is finally killed?
"Hush, child the darkness rises from the deep and carry you down into sleep."
(Loyalty, loyalty, loyal only to me.)

Added a poem:
[Death is a messenger I send on a bird of ash and Goose with a vicious razor tipped quill to punctuate my displeasure, dispatched by a bow known as Heartseeker.]
My message is sent with no love intent,
An invitation of death to draw your last breath,
To leave this world is my message, I hurled.
It is riches you chase, as death offers an embrace.
Time on this land is nearly at hand,
When I send my quill, tis you that pay the bill,
That death will rejoice and you have no choice,
Another heart stopped by Heartseeker.

Hey guys - just FYI, I'm happy to let events play out with the party for as long as you guys wish. I want to keep the action going as much as possible, of course, but I don't want to run over the party drama/RP simply to get to the next "scene." Let me know what you guys think. It looks like a good time for a little RP to iron out divisions within the group, although events off stage are continuing.

The way I see it, it's up to us as players to attempt resolution (but in a way that makes sense for the character—meaning the attempt may fail miserably), and at the same time, we need to be mindful of the known threats and the possibility of unknown threats. So while I appreciate you letting this go on (especially since I was hoping Ankari would get a chance to react), I would also understand if action was forced upon us, or will be if we're too slow.

PS- I was impressed when I saw Ankari's CHA check, which was a perfect precursor to his words. I'm thinking the bitterness he didn't think he was hiding well was well-hidden.

Steer! Don't be merciful on us. Just take into consideration how much time has past, and how that it isn't necessarily equal to the number of posts. I would think "Side Trek" thread couldn't have been more than a couple hours, even though the number of posts would suggest a week.

But I'm all game for our RPing to be interrupted by the flow of events. It would actually add more immersion than allowing us to solely RP.

Don't worry, I won't be merciful. What I mean to suggest is that what is going on has taken relatively little time, so there is really nothing external going on to push the game ahead right not, unless I simply manufacture something for the sake of doing so. But I'd rather not do that. I just want to make sure everyone is cool with the current RP and pace.

Just a note for Ankari when he goes to find Cadell -- it took Cadell at least 30 min to reach the gnolls by horse, so likely it'll take Ankari longer to find him. I'm not sure how long has passed in the main or side threads since then, so I can't guess when he might show up relative to their conversation (which is still going on via PM). That's Steerpike's call. :)

True, very true.

EDIT: Just read Baldy's last Side Trek post... ouch. ._.; I think it would be prudent to note that Cadell hasn't mentioned anybody by name when speaking to the gnolls, so he can't be blamed for singling any one person out as bad. Besides, the company is so divided, he's not even sure who counts as his companions anymore. :/

Can't say I blame her, poor woman. With all that's going on, I'm honestly not sure how they're going to come back from this.

Even if they don't exactly trust or like each other, at some point they'll be thrown back into being allies by necessity.

*sighs* Indeed. I just hope they'll regain even some of that former trust by the end of this. We don't need a whole group of spiteful, mistrustful Ankaris. (At least Ankari himself kinda became reasonable...)
