Thanks. It'll be a while before you have more than one stance (so try not to run out of health, please), but I'm gradually getting smarter. Bee and Fenella can change weapons since weapons are on a separate layer, so if Fenella gets a new two-hander, I just replace the sword. The rest of her is drawn behind the sword, and I have bases (anotomically-incorrect nudes) in case characters change clothes.

Fenella is a princess, so she goes to battle in heels. I was going to give her boots, but... nah. Oh, and Fenella may be able to find a way to get the magic back in her Ruby slippers.

I smile at Fenella. "I think I'm going to go with the children. If you don't mind, that is." I almost go without waiting for an answer. Being around the others has done wonders for my confidence, but Fenella is the princess.

They'll love that!

It's me having a hell of a time drawing straight lines on the tablet. I need to find a better way to draw swords!

NOTE: At some point (that was never posted), Lara delivered the dresses and Fenella and Mariya found a place to clean up and change.

I'll have the art with those dresses, so unless you want to RP the delivery of the dress, we can just say it happened and keep moving forward. I still have male characters to draw… maybe the art will be ready next weekend.

Thank you for your patience as I update art. I may have another minor update ready for episode 3, since I've read up on some techniques on DeviantArt which blends my attempt at "sprite" characters with my tablet-drawn characters I'm working on now.

I'll experiment more while episode 2 is in play, though, so I don't delay the game too much. I hope to start action next week or the week after. (This was a crazy work week, but one that worked in my favor. Relatives will be over this weekend, so that may slow me down moer.)

I'll hold out a bit until Ruby posts. But don't think I'm slacking. Reaver is The Dude. [Insert hilarious Big Lebowski reference here.] I'll draw the naginata later, but his hands should look like they're gripping one.

All I need is Shan Mai and villains… and background. But at least I have most good guys.

This is at 25%, though I'm tempted to make them bigger.

PS - I remembered to give vincent scars this time!

PPS - Jaundiced Jackal has NES Billy Lee's skin tone, so I colored his clothes and hair to match.

@Noma, I take it you're waiting for Ruby before the song happens? (No rush… my point is that I'll wait for the song before having NPCs react.)

After players represent The Voice, I'll have Bee go up next. Ireth, if you want Diana to represent The Mother in some way, that's fine. I'll have Lady Death's representative go last. (Reaver's busy, so that'll be an NPC.)

Technically, The Mother and Lady Death would be the last two, in that order (The Mother died in childbirth when The Maiden was born 1,514 years ago), but players posting out of order doesn't mess anything up. I hope to have all the art we need for battle ready on the weekend, so stuff can happen anytime next week.

I'm still trying to decide on a gift that would be a) fitting to represent the Mother, and b) something Diana could actually give. Any ideas?

What an impressive cast of characters! Fenella looks as if she could do serious damage with that weapon! What is it exactly? Is it a particular type of sword? Those Ruby slippers look real uncomfortable, too!

Would it be possible to list the names of the characters to match the pictures in #512 as I'm not sure who the new characters are? I know it's embarrassing but I'm still a bit

@Ruby, It's the Singing Sword redrawn as a two-handed weapon (which it should have been to begin with). I actually want to name the sword Solid Gold Dancer, but you can call it whatever you want. It's your sword.
