UPDATE: Fenella's "Battle Song" also has a , but it's not a spell. She can use her song while attacking.

The is simply a symbol to keep track of skills that shouldn't require a roll, but also shouldn't be used all of the time. Any class can learn a skill like this, though I may use a different symbol for those who use attacks that aren't so musical. Black means you can use the skill, gray means you're waiting for the ability to recharge.

In case you can't tell, Vincent is hooked by the red-eye waaaaaay on the right, who is barely in the screen. You can only see one eye.

If you attack a frog, just post your priority: save Vincent / save Diana. If the one you're rescuing is safe, I'll assume you would save the other. You won't be forced to all beat on the same dead frog if everyone says, "I'll save Diana!"

Well, Vincent has ideas of his own, sooo this might shake things up. All up to our GM, of course. ^^

The cannons are lit, so if I understand Vincent's intent, it won't work. I like having some RP with the enemy though, and the conversation doesn't eat into your turn.

Also, PM's will go to Ireth and Phil. You can attack without knowing the content of the PM. I won't get to the PM's for a while.

Yeah, my intent was probably pretty easy to guess. XD

Also, those rolls were actually awesome? Woo! I love adrenaline! They can move like normal, right? Six squares each?

Yeah… it should really be a half move since you attacked. Enough to get out of cannon range, and do what you PM'd me about before if you want to.

I guess everyone else can gang up on Reaver's opponent, rush the captain, or dare to grapple the toadies. (That last one… not recommended!!!!!)

Red-eyes have extremely low HP and low defense, but you're right about the adrenaline. If not for the adrenaline rush, Diana's foe would remain standing. I didn't think I was giving anything away with that post since Vincent already killed a guy with a roll of 8. Logically, if an 8 kills, a 9 kills.

Gotcha. :D Do I have to wait for your PM before doing that? Also, should I PM the rolls to you or include them in my post?

For a magic user, there is no better roll than a 1 followed by a 20. (Odds of that happening = 0.25%)

@Noma, I'll PM you as soon as I can.

@Someone who hasn't rolled yet, please help the Reaver. That is, if Mariya's huge spell doesn't kill his opponent anyway.

Well, Reaver doesn't need help. With his offense bonus and the lightning stunning every enemy, he won't miss. Thundering Voice of the Goddess stuns ALL enemies, no matter where the muse decides to aim the bolt.

It's not easy to roll a 20 while you happen to be charging magic, so the max spell is meant to be insanely powerful.

EDIT - Don't thank me. I goofed! I think I'm rooting for you too much and was giving permission to cheat. Bad GM! Bad me! I take it back! Stun effect happens at the end of the turn!

Good to know! ^^ I still wonder what effect my Christmas bonus will have on things...

I should take back what I said. Technically, the bolt strikes at the end of the turn so the stun wouldn't take effect yet. In any case, the frog won't hit back and will be an easy target next turn if the lighting doesn't hit him.

So, yes, you can still roll vs. Reaver's frog and kill it.

This also means the toadies' readied actions are still in effect, so trying to shove them overboard will be easy when they're stunned and can't resist/grapple, but now you risk the humiliation of being tossed off-screen into the sea.

Feel free to RP what you intend for the captain. Once everyone posts their intentions, I'll get my next post up. I positioned players 6 spaces to the left on my PS file, assuming you mean to walk and talk.

While Phil and Severin are away, I'll keep posting the single combat match. The other characters are assumed to be outside the hole, watching the two fight by the window.

Feel free to react to what you see. I'll try to end the match by Wednesday, and we can see how PJ held up in the fight, and who won. I hope to have episode 1 wrapped up in time for Valentine's Day. (Not that the holiday has anything to do with it, I just want to finally get some plot stuff in the game while I have a week off from work.)

I'm still curious as to what my Christmas bonus did, if anything... Mariya's spell kinda stole Vincent's and Diana's thunder (pun COMPLETELY intended). XDD Good for her, though!

It created a missile that shot the pirate in the toe knocking him over. Aside from his HP being much lower as a result of your action, yeah… I felt bad having no special FX aside from the crater. It was too messy to display it with the lightning, or I'd have added a "paused" screen showing the effect.

It was really not something I felt the characters could see with the lightning and cannons going off all at once.

If it's any consolation, the Missile Toe hurt 1.5x more than the lightning spell.

PS- It also was the reason he was knocked over. The thunder alone stuns, but leaves the enemy standing.
