Standing on top of the keg, Cookie strikes a pose and lets out a seismically loud half-warcry half-belch. "Aaahhh! That felt great! Now, tae Davy Jones' locker wit' yae!"

With a mighty flourish, Cookie leapt from the keg and took a flying sweep with his rolling pin toward the pinkish frog...

"Nicely done, Mr. Ender! Now if you'd be so kind as to dispatch the amphibious wretch clad in purple, I'll take care of the beast behind the bar."

I move as swiftly as possible around the slimy frogman corpses strewn about the floor and leap behind the bar. The creature bellows a warbling battlecry, seemingly ready to fight.

I feign an overhead strike and attempt to decapitate my foe.

I feel no pity for the vile beast, but still, I offer a prayer that if it does have a soul, may it find peace.

I lunge for the nearest frog creature, trying to get it in my grasp and choke it into submission. "You're going to go to sleep, little froggy."

Diana leaps from the stage, landing a solid attack on her foe. She deflects his counterattack effortlessly. Vincent uses his magic to light sparks on top of a frog man's head. The frog smothers the fire with a wet, webbed hand, but he pays the price for meddling with this magic. The Sparkler spell is not easily extinguished, and for a moment, the sparks shower down from his own hand. The frog's head and hand and most of his body and clothing are noticeably burned. Though the damage isn't serious, it is humiliating.

The guy in gold boots kicks the frog in his burned head. The frog strikes back with his spear. The frogs in purple and gold both appear to be half dead.

The one in pink isn't as lucky. Sister Annie shouts, "Dragon Explosion!" She steps forward, crouches, leans into her crouch—then suddenly rises, smashing her curly red afro into the frog's bloodied jaw. Her foe flies several feet into the air, but his landing is interrupted as his pink-pantalooned leg gets caught on the rail. A sound like gentle rainfall pitter-patters on the deck below. Beatrice sees the fluid pouring from the frog's gaping mouth. She looks down at the dying man behind the stage and says to the nun, "You have avenged him."

"It is my service to The Painter."

Beatrice smiles at the nun, asking her, "Do you serve The Maiden as well?"

"Yes," she replies. "It is She I will pray to as I tend to the man… though I fear he is too far gone."

"Death is nothing to fear." Beatrice sits in the man's blood and observes his open torso from up on the stage.

Shan Mai slips in spilled beer. The moment of humiliation turns out to be a mixed blessing, as the red-pantsed frog's spear whiffs over the samurai's head as he slips out of the way. Father Warbucks fires two shots into the frog's shield. He tosses his One-Shots aside, and fishes his coat for more weapons.

On the Casino Deck, Reaver dashes behind the bar. He gives away his position as his sudden movement topples the wine bottle on the end of the bar. The bottle and basket of hot fries both fall into the open mouth of a dead frog. There is a shattering of glass as the frog man whips his spear around to attack the samurai, but Reaver is too quick. His katana easily maneuvers around the warped shield, into the frog's abdomen. The frog's spear hits only the wine bottles on the upper shelf.

Mr. Ender breaks a stool over his opponent's head. The frog is too dazed to aim his spear accurately when he counter attacks.

Sashi drops the frog that he failed to strike earlier confirming that he is, in fact, his gods' oar. Jiro sees Cookie leap off the keg to strike his foe a second time. The pirate only manages to topple the barrel, causing it to slowly roll across the floor. He misses his target, as does Jiro when he sneaks up behind the frog in pink. The frog in pink does not miss, but he does fail to anticipate Cookie's agility on a ship. Cookie dodges the attack.

Pale Jackal is overpowered by the frog he attempts to choke. The frog prepares to thrust his spear into the back of his pinned foe.

Phil, the score was 17 to 5, Froggy's favor. On your next turn roll a 17 or 20 to use REVERSAL THROW. An 18 or 19 will let you escape the pin. Anything less than 17 means you're pinned.

If anyone wants to help Phil, that's allowed. An attack against PJ or the gold frog will end the grapple, though damage is weakened and there's a chance of hitting the wrong guy if you roll too low.

The frog's attack doesn't touch me; I immediately strike again when I have an opening.

I smile in satisfaction as my magic leaves its mark on the frog, then ready for another blast of fireworks on the same beast.

Although my attempt to decapitate my enemy failed, I was able to stab the creature in the abdomen. Before the frog-beast's feeble mind can register the damage I inflicted, I rip my katana natana out of its belly and perform a todome (finishing blow).

Once I'm certain the foul monster is dead, I shall rush over to assist Pale Jackal.

After knocking over the keg and nearly falling flat on his face, Cookie shook off his shortcoming and looked to the pale man pinned by the frog in orange. (OOC: Or, at least I hope it's orange. I'm a tad color blind.) Seeing the frog ready to skewer the poor guy, Cookie shouted to the fiend "Avast there, ye lily-livered chicken-hearted lickspittle! Time tae roll out a barrel!"

Pivoting on his peg-leg, Cookie squirted over to the fallen keg and kicked it toward the pale man's assailant...

Shan Mai whips out his cleavers, but both attacks are blocked by the frog's shield. The frog's spear misses Shan Mai as well.

Diana finishes her foe. The frog curses her as he falls; however, Diana can't read frog lips. Thus, even his verbal attack failed him. Diana stands over the dying frog unscathed. A pool of blood stops short of soiling her shoe.

Vincent lights up the frog again, and this time the frog appears enraged by the burning sensation. He makes a strange, low guttural sound as the Golden Boots champ kicks him in the face, then runs his spear through the man. The champ coughs up blood, but remains standing.

Downstairs, Mr. Ender finishes his opponent with an uppercut. "A little harder, I'd've sent him through the ceiling." Reaver and his opponent exchange blows. Once again, a hit by Reaver and a miss by his foe. The shield once again forces Reaver to adjust his blade, preventing him from striking lethally. But Reaver sees his opponent is weak, and that it won't take much to finish him.

Pale Jackal is unable to free himself. Cookie rolls a toppled barrel his way. The barrel topples the frog, leaving him disarmed and in a vulnerable position. The frog in pink tries to stab Cookie in the back, but Sashi and Jiro team up and take the enemy down.

Upstairs, Sister Annie prays over the once-impaled man. She is astonished when the man gets up as if nothing happened. "Th-thank The M-maiden," she stammers. She looks up at Beatrice. "I d-don't understand, I…" She helps the man to his feet. "A miracle!" she exclaims.

The word 'miracle' is drowned out by a BOOM…

Upper:
Gold is about to die.
Red is unscathed.

Casino:
Red is about to die.
Gold is stunned.

"Steeeeerrrriiiiiiike!" Cookie shouted as the keg hit the frog, and he ambled over to the stunned frog to give it a final whack on the head...

Vincent

I flinch as the badly-burned frog impales the man in the golden boots. Both seem weakened, the frog moreso than the man. I can see there is little I can do for him; my magic doesn't involve healing. Looking around, I see the ship looming closer in the gathering dark, and Beatrice standing on the stage.

"Beatrice!" I call, starting toward her. "Get down from there before you're hurt!"

Diana

Having finished my enemy, I move on to the next one, clad in red and standing on a table. Taking a deep breath, I raise my sword for a strike.

Beatrice watches the trail of smoke. Vincent senses what passes through her mind.

@Ireth, please post again and be sure to clarify (1) whether or not Vincent moves to Beatrice and (2) whether what he sensed changes his course of action.

I have him on the steps now, since he started moving toward the girl.

Beatrice's thought flashes through my mind, making me tense and halt for a moment. The oddity I sense from her thoughts and feelings continues to astound me. But I don't linger on that thought. Diana needs me. I meet Beatrice's eyes for a moment, tell her, "Be safe," then turn and rush toward my wife. Can I reach her in time to protect her?

A samurai with a katana stuck into the deck beside him stands near Diana and her adversary. His hands are occupied with other weapons; I focus on the katana, mustering my magic for a telekinesis spell to lift and wield it. I wish I could afford to ask permission before borrowing the weapon, but there's no time to waste.

He charges his opponent, the first attack is deflected and the cleaver flies from his hand,
the second makes contact but can't tell how deep it penetrates, as Shan Mai dodges the spear.

Diana's blade sticks into the shield of her opponent. Vincent uses telekinesis to drive a sword into the frogman. Shan Mai's other blades whiff past their target as the table breaks. As the pathetic frog lies bleeding with a sword in his gut, Father Warbucks finishes him with two pistol shots to the head.

The guy in golden boots finds himself alone with the beast that nearly killed him. He grabs the frog by the face, slams him to the ground, and stomps on him with both boots—several times. The fireworks spell burns the lifeless creature to a crisp, causing the brittle corpse to crumble with each successive stomp.

Pale Jackal attacks the barrel that saved him. No one knows why, but the oddity doesn't distract Cookie, Sashi and Jiro from their target. The three of them beat the gold-pantsed frog to death.

Reaver finds his opponent to be worthy, but as the frog in red finally manages to aim his spear properly, the samurai slits his throat. The frog drops his weapons, backs into the wall breaking the shelf and smashing more bottles to the floor. He dies face down in broken glass, and in his death throes he somehow kicks a beer toward Reaver. The beer slides down the bar, not a drop spilled.

"On the house," Ender says, laughing. Before Reaver can respond, he sees splinters and boards fly violently from the ceiling. Where Ender once stood is a hole in the ground. There is plenty of blood gushing from a frog corpse which is now missing a leg. Ender's fate is anyone's guess.

On the upper deck, Vincent sees that had he moved to Beatrice's side, he'd have been hit by the cannon ball. Sister Annie and the man she revived are shocked, but Beatrice is completely calm. She smiles as she sees that Vincent and Diana are unharmed.

The pirate ship positions itself behind The Black and Blue Oyster.

At last the battle has ended. I grab a bar towel and wipe the viscous rust-colored blood from my blade before returning it to its scabbard. The tankard of beer that slid to a halt just inches from my grasp makes me realize how parched I am. I take hold of the mug and gulp down the frosty drink.

Thanks be to The Warrior for my victory and to The Spirit for my reward.

After emptying the stein, I walk around the bar to the hole where Mr. Ender once stood. I look down into the cavernous maw. It's as black as a raven drowning in a barrel of pitch.

"Mr. Ender!" I have a bad feeling that calling out to the brave fighter is an exercise in futility. However, I must know his fate.

Pushing all negative thoughts aside, I begin to search for a way down to the lower decks.
